Shivam Family Restaurant - Family restaurant in Margao - South Goa, India

Service is very slow but the quality of the food was worth the wait. The Murdoshou (lady fish) were full sized (roughly 12 inches) and fresh. The egg-fry rice was light and fluffy. Interior decor is overdone and too garish. Go there only for the food. They accept customers as late as 11p.m.

Great place if you want to have good fish meal. Had been here with my family and all dishes ordered were good. Kingfish and lepo rawa fry was too good. Prawn curry was decent. In veg had babycorn chilly and panner kadai with kulcha, which was good. In chicken, do try tangdi kabab. It did take some time to get prepared (as warned by our server) but it was worth the wait. The service is good ambiance can be a bit better. 1. Good for family, with kids as well. 2. Test is good. 3. Variety of vegetarian option. 4. Not to much costly. 5. Waiting time for service is compared with others is high, hence not suitable for quick bite. 6. Some of the options from menu are not available. 7. Overall it's good.

The place is beautiful and on road so no confusion in finding the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. Ordering is also easy. The fish thali contains a lot of dishes, affordable and all the dishes were tasty. Overall it is a very great place to visit with your family.

There is very good interior ,service is little bit slow,we have to wait for halp hour for starter only ,food was good in taste, tandoori chicken was good in taste one must try ,price is not much high ,one can try prawns biryani here ,seating arrangement is also good ,they take very much time to prapare order otherwise everything is good ..good for family

Good food. They have mouthwatering fish thalis. Prawns fish thali is a must try. However it was Closing time and they gave us half cooked modso rawa fry

Everything was nice about this restaurant, but the only problem is that, it doesnt have CLEANLINESS. I have attached some pictures for your reference. Owner kindly take a note. We had ordered, 1. Chicken manchow soup:- 100/- 2. Roti:- 30/- 3. Chicken handi:- 210 Also the salt in the dishes was bit less. But according to customer taste now so not a big deal. CHEERS.....!!!!

Absolutely fantastic tandoori fish pomfret. Best price in Goa and very fresh. Professional people working in kitchen and dining area,AC was very cooling. Special thanks to the owner and the manager for dropping me up to my hotel as pilots were not available@ late hour. East or west, Goa is the best.

The place is good in terms of space and ambiance, but if I'm paying 390/- per fish thali, it is not fair if I get completely cold rice, fish curry without salt, lime water without any sugar, no sweet in thali because "it's over" (why are you charging me the same price without any replacement/compensation), schezwan rice with cold rice, and for all this, I waited over 30 mins. I mean atleast get the basics right. I'd also like to add that this was not a one off experience, I've faced this multiple times with the fish thali for lunch, the waiter goes in the kitchen and then there is no staff to cater to you. The point of this review is to bring these issues to the management. Hope for better service in the future, it shouldn't be an embarrassment when we recommend Shivam Restaurant to friends and family.
