The location of this place is wrong, when you search Shikhar falls, you get Shivalay cafe. Being curious I reached there by taking directions from locals and turned out that the water is now stopped and being moved to pipes for households, and the rest of the water is unhealthy and the place is mess as people drink and eat there and litter.. If you are not a local, I advise not to go here as this place is not worth going, also you have to climb 2kms which is not worth taking risk
peace is there , visit in morning , or during the trip to mussoorie , this place is like you start the journey to Himalayas . There are lots of shops here for breakfast and snaks , and tea near the waterfall , also Trek up to mountains 1-2 km along with the waterfall you will fill like . Also you can take morning bath here , good place for photography and hangout.
This place is perfect for adventure and nature lovers. A small 500m trek through a narrow trail leads to this beautiful waterfall. As you approach further towards the waterfall the gushing sound of the water increases and thrills people. The trails goes through shrubs and herbs and one can watch the colourful flowers present in the shrubs like Canny, Pansy, Parthenium,etc. After 5 mins of trek the trail will divide into two parts one will go further straight and the other will go left towards the waterfall. Keep in mind and take the left turn. And be careful to cross a narrow bridge which leads to the trail towards the waterfall. There are no changing rooms and I advise people to bring plastic or waterproof bags and other things so that you stuff does not get wet. For food many maggi points and other eatable shops and stalls are present so don't worry if you are hungry you'll get food in those shops. Shops opens at around 7:45 a.m. The path towards the fall is rocky and waterfed so I my advise to everyone is to wear a pair of shoes with good grip. In monsoon the water increases so my advise to everyone is that if anyone is up for bathing please mind your step and don't go too near the falls because many stones or rocks may come sliding down resulting in dangerous accident. Stay safe enjoy responsibly.
Lack of proper maintenance , road connectivity can be scary at times due to soil erosion. But, the trek route from the parking to main fall is lovely ! main fall is quite good though it is still in its raw and natural form . water is cleanest among all falls but flow can be low for most part of the year. over all a good place to visit with friends.
Nice beautiful Place for visit and spend time with friends. Visit here for fun and enjoyment. One food shop is there, so everyone will eat healthy food easily. Must visit for beautiful photos and good background of waterfall.
Great place to enjoy natural beauty with your loved ones. Place is full of greenery which will settle your inner peace and make you carm. Specially if you are from some metro city this is the place you need to visit. As the saying goes once you been to mountains there is no escape .
Used to be a better place. Now it's been polluted with plastic. There's a need to conserve the natural beauty. Avoid plastic. Carry your own steel cutlery.
