Visited on December end. Best place visited so far near Sirsi. Much better than Jog falls. Road is good till waterfall except last 1km which we can go by walk or by vehicle. It is risky reach water stream as we need climb down for almost 30 mins. Young people can easily reach water. But we need to be very careful as some stones are sippery. Always go in group. I was alone and was very scary. Didn't try to reach waterfall. From water stream to water fall is very risky. May be it will be accessible in summer.
Nice beautiful falls with greenery. Visit during October to December. Avoid rainy days, since it will be slippery and water will be in red colour to view. Moderate trekking required to reach the bottom of the falls. Stone pathway is there beside the small stream and no proper steps are available, so only the fit can go to the bottom via 2 km trek. People who like adventures may like this spot. Enjoy the nature and greenery at the bottom, it's slippery on rocks so please take care. Dont try to go near the 3 bottom pond of falls, since it's very deep and may swimmers have died in those spots. There is Shiva linga and other carvings on the rocks, this was a place of worship before. There are no facilities like rest room, hotels and shop near by, hence take all the required eateries and water. Road near the falls around 3kms are in bad shape.
A very nice place to visit with friends, trekking is little bit difficult while coming back, the waterflow force is also more so better stay near to the shore, carry plenty of snacks & drinks will help to climb back..
