We booked the rooms in advance by paying 50% . I called and ensured 1 hour before reaching the location. We were already 3 hours late, 11 was the check-in time . While reaching there ,the rooms they promised us was full and they gave us some other rooms away from this . We actually booked by seeing the ambiance and chill out spots there. But the place they gave us was just a room . And the rooms they gave us have nothing except the bed. Then we requested for blanket and towel. And they have no chill out spots .I really had a bad experience
This is mainly because of over booking. So guys, before booking this place, ensure you get the same rooms they send you through WhatsApp .
Staying in Shiva's garden was beautiful, it was our home for more than one month Jay is an amazing host and super talented badminton player, there is a lot of space to play and create, the kitchen is really good! really nice food for really good price. Many different options for staying and the beautiful energy attracts amazing people. The location is perfect and it's a very nice atmosphere to inhabit Deeply thankful with this place. Full of art and murals.

This is just what this place does! The location is amazing, the vibe is there and everyone that works and comes into this place are wonderful.
I had the little apartment with kitchen, which was amazing! Was able to host dinner with friends, and just have a good space to rest.
Everyone in Shiva Garden was always trying to help, and you can tell that they have a great heart
The common area is great to meet with others and you still have the privacy of your own room... Super colourful place and lots of spaces to be creative.
Beach is only 7 mins away and affordable local food 3 mins away (Kerala cafe and Juicy Cafe)

One of the best stay in varkala for boys gang worth for money
Quite passable. Food so-so, service slow, though cute having sand around where we sat and ate. Some unexpected barbells and Roman Rings in the distance, a punching bag hanging a few feet from our table, and some interesting wall painting, but derelict and mossy brown tiles on the roof, cracked basin and rather shabby tables and benches...
All in all, not a recommendable place, unless you want to feel like a poor hippie in the 1970s.

We loved it
I loved Varkala and ended up spending six nights at Shiva Garden. Great location, great vibe and outdoor chill area and spot to meet people and great service and assistance by the staff, I lost count of how many times the manager in particular helped me out, including with some visa issues. A great place to kick off my India trip, couldn't recommend enough.

Very friendly host who helped us with early check-in as well as late check-out. Located in a prime location, it's accessible to most places. Only point to mention for improvement is the cleanliness of the room and bathroom.

The rooms where clean, 24 hrs hot water available. They provide towels and sample soaps. All these for a minimum room rent. Worth for the money. It is best for budget rooms. But if you seek for luxury rooms you may not like it.
