This is my first time trying bedmi poori and chole bhature at shiv misthan bhandar. And my experience is best. Taste of aloo subzi and chole with bedmi poori is the best in Chandni chowk. Chole bhature is also good . Filling of paneer in bhature and chole was also good. Best taste in Chandni chowk.
I visited it last week. Waiters were quarrelsome. They were quarreling with each other on their personal issues. One of the waiter was saying to another that he would beat you in a loud voice. One waiter kept his chest button opened. My wife and daughter felt there unsecured. We finished our food immediately and left quickly. Cashier did not give us receipt.
Sweets and treats!! Chanced upon this place and a crowd outside the storefront drew us. We asked a local what he was having, and he recommended the rasmalai (yellow; paneer soaked in pistachio flavoured sweetened milk) and rasgulla (white; paneer with sugar syrup). The rasmalai was by far the favoured version -- creamy, nutty, and spongey -- incredibly complex without being overtly sweet. There are also seats inside if you need a temporary reprise from the chaos.
Serving since 1850 this place is quite an institution. The later generations have added on an AC dining room which makes it comfortable in summers too. The bermi puris are amazing, lassi is delicious. Don't miss the small nagori kachoris with halwa. The halwa is dripping with ghee and alluring. Please remember to go as early as possible to avoid traffic. Also they run out of some of the stuff quite early. Don't miss this
I visited this place in evening so Nagori Halwa was not available. But, I ate their kachori sabji, jalebi and Maalpua. All were just delicious. Kachori was crispy and tasted fresh, I feel its their sabzi which just enhanced kachori's taste to a great level. Th person at the counter was very humble and customer friendly. Keep it up !
I heard about Matar Samosa, so I just went there and had that, it was delicious, small in size, Rs 20 one pc with Chatni. You also get there other items also, like normal samosa, bread pakora, kachori, Udad dal halva etc. So if u sometime near to Fatehpuri masjid just try it.
Shiv Mishthan Bhandar is the place to be for breakfast in Chandni Chowk. Bedmi aloo is served along chole and tangy methi ki chutney. They use desi ghee for their products. Their nagori and halwa is also good. But it gets over early in the morning. Finish your meal with desi ghee Jalebi
