From internet only information I could gather was it is more than 1000 years old.....who built it when etc information wasn't available..... there are many stone carving depicting various diaties like Ganesh, yaksha, gandharv, Apsara,lord Brahma etc. This temple is protected monument as per ASI but sadly there are no visible efforts on protection or repair of damaged sculptures.....there are no sign or information boards which will give information to the visitors.

It is situated on the bank of [vrindawan] (Waldhuni) river, 2 km away from Ambarnath railway station (East). The temple was built in 1060 AD beautifully carved in stone. It was probably built by Shilahara king Chhittaraja, it may also have been rebuilt by his son Mummuni.
