Atleast a dozen of waiters are standing on your head. Unless ask them to serve, they do not even serve water in glass, food in your plate. Does not even give a small bowl of raita complimentry along with veg pulao( it was not at all worth trying), also do not give 2-3 small pieces of onion along with paneer butter masala (not yummy, just ok ok in taste), one has to place orders separately for salad. Tandoori roti was very thick (a big no for this) infact roomali roti was still ok to have it with paneer butter masala. Will never visit again and won't even Recommend anyone for veg dishes as it is famous for non-veg dishes.

This is probably one of the oldest and best biryani places in Kolkata where you can enjoy some delicious mughlai cuisine, mouthwatering Kebabs with your friends and family members. Located at the Mallik Bazaar crossing Shiraz Golden Restaurant needs no introduction. Beautifully decorated interiors with ample seating space and courteous staffs will make your experience even better. If you're looking for a place to go out with friends and especially family, then this is the place for you.

This is my 2nd visit to this iconic Mughlai restaurant in Kolkata. Currently, Shiraz has opened many of its outlets all over Kolkata. Moreover, this restaurant serves a variety of Mughlai dishes at a good price and is well known for it's Biryani that is subtle in flavour yet flavourful in its own way followed by yummilicious kebabs that are extremely flavourful, fresh and immediately melts in your mouth. Side dishes such as butter chicken, chicken rezala, chicken chap blends well with both Biryani, tandoori roti and naan. For dessert, one can try out their phirni and Shahi tukda. Furthermore, the service was also good. In short, I feel that the only shortcoming of this restaurant is the atmosphere that needs to be improved. Overall, i had a memorable dining experience at this iconic restaurant. My rating - / Address - 135, Park Street, (behind Neuro Science Hospital), Kolkata - 700017 (near Mullick Bazaar crossing). We ordered Mutton biriyani and Chicken rezala. No doubt in Mutton biriyani. It's really tasty and portion wise also good. Rezala has a sour taste, not recommended at all. There are some small bugs and insects in the dining area which are not at all acceptable.

Certainly one of the best Biryani restaurants of Kolkata, a heritage establishment in terms of the number of years it has been serving the dish, the special biryani has a very good quantity with two pieces of mutton, 2 pieces of Aalu and one egg(make it two!!) good enough for a hardcore biryani lover like me, while it has the potential to suffice for 2 people too!

Good Kolkata biryani. Probably one of the best Kolkata biryani is served here. The ambience is nice. Staff are good, but a bit lazy.
