Shirahatti is a small town and also a taluk place located in Gadag district.This town is not well developed and has small bylanes with lot of shops in the market selling all sorts of miscellaneous items.Small hotels where one can get chilly bajjis and other common food stuff and roadside stalls selling snacks are seen every where.The town is not clean though.

I grew up in this town. So, I have to be liberal while rating the place. It is not well organised,it is chaotic, lacks cleanliness. But, the shopkeepers are friendly, there is a bond of trust and faith between them and the customers. You get almost anything from vegetables and fruits to utensils ( in mud, glass, aluminium, steel,brass etc), from toys to minor electronic gadgets, pooja items, eatables of every kind, foodgrains, cereals,atta, butter, ghee,honey, jaggery... you name it and you can get it. A walk in the market,on the weekly market day_ Sunday,is a great treat to the senses_ the vibrant colours, the sounds, the aroma, the friendly sellers and the equally affable buyers_ it is a whole package.

It's small market...roads also small. Always busy area and also there is no traffic police...

Shirahatti it's neither town nor village.,but one can find the things, groceries, clothing in the market,. To the nearby villages its a town. We have bus services to Shirahatti from Gadag, bellatti, Hubli etc., Climate will b according to the seasons.
