This was my second stay at Shining sands in Oct 2023. The previous one was in May 2019.
I booked it again because of the nice experience I had first time.
In last 3-4 years it changed from a nice place to badly managed and maintained place.
Their beachside restaurant changed into a small 3 table place.
Their pool changed into a place for hotel staff to watch TV.
Service was still okay.
But everything else has become bad, rooms are old, AC need repair.
Weird kind of people staying in the hotel. Please avoid at all costs
We had very good stay at the resort. Location and service is excellent. Staff are very prompt and friendly
Just near the walking distance from Sea side of Beaches Alangute and Baga ..... Very perfect location for family with kids
Only one Issue is there with Parking , there is small space for parking and sometimes parking is being shared with another property beside this hotel. So ,if you are driving by car , it is recommended to park only in Hotel identified area , and tell hotel staff specifically to coordinate with neighbour property owner. Parking may be a big g issue for big Cars in this hotel.
The route to hotel is through a narrow gully of width max 6-7 feet. So , be alert if you driving big size SUV .
Definitely not worth the amount I paid. I'm a traveler and this unbiased review is based on my experience of staying at many hotels/resorts during my travels.
Had a great stay at Shining sand. Neat, clean and very well maintained room. Big spacious, right on the beach. Breakfast is also very good. They don't have their private sun beds on the beach.
Had a wonderful stay at the resort. Entire staff was helpfull and eager to serve you in best possible way. They arranged for the pick n drop of scooty on rent at the resort itself and veh for the airport. Food is another plus point . The location is midway calangute and baga bang on the beach so easily accessible. Would definitely recommend to all prospective travellers .
An amazing hotel located right by the beach. The room was spacious and comfortable. Pool was clean . Restaurant serves delicious food and the staff is polite. Value for money.
One of the finest beach touching resort. Rooms are big clean, staff's are very polite and responsive. Generally they does not provide Lunch or Dinner for guests except Complimentary breakfast. We had a big group of 18 people. On our special request they provided dinner and food was awesome, yummy. Overall it's a nice stay. I strongly recommend Shining Sand Beach hotel.
