Shines Tourist Hotel - Hotel in Pandalam - Pathanamthitta, India

Went here to have lunch on Sunday with my family, ordered 2 chicken biryani, 1 fish biryani and 1 meal thali. Just after we were having this food, we got the bill placed on the table and the guy who took our order and got our bill asked if we needed any ice cream. Later I asked why we got the bill just after we started to eat, he said we were finished. Very strange. I won't blame him but the management, as how they train their staffs. In the end, ordered ice cream, we got 2 ice creams, but we were charged for 3. They rectified it after I informed them.

This review is not about the rooms or service they provide, it's about the restaurant and food. The chicken biryani, tandoori were awesome, butter chicken didn't met my expectations, got a different one when ordered again. The price is little bit higher when compared to the ones near by, but affordable. The place was neat and clean.

Had lunch last week. Horrible experience. The service staff were rude and it seems they had an internal understanding that only meals and chicken biriyani will be served during lunch hours. But the way the staff expressed this decision was in a rude manner. The chicken biriyani served was below standards. The service persin did not even serve water. After we requested a couple of times, he served hot water towards the end of our meal

Good rooms in the middle of the city.. Have a restaurant that provides very good food as well.

Few years back shines hotel was famous for their food. It was the high class restaurant available in pandalam. Then the quality became worst and from past two years they are coming back to their previous glory with good food, service and ambience.
