Shimpos Lake Bounty Resorts - Resort hotel in Puthnagady - Alappuzha, India

We visited Shimpos for 9 days at the end of February. The situation on the lake is superb. The rooms were VERY good. The staff were all more than excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them from management to room cleaning staff. All were bright and very personable. It felt like being part of a wonderful Keralan family. All the food in the restaurant was exceptional and service delightful. The surrounding area was interesting and welcoming. The swimming pool was clean and good quality towels provided for it. Watching the activities of the local people on the lake (fishermen/houseboats etc) was a great insight into local life. If you are visiting India for the first time this is the perfect place to start.

View was exceptional. Staff was polite and humble.Cottage rooms were very beautiful. Just 2 cons, it's about half a km interior from the main road & food there is too costly. But once you reach there, it's picturesque view will make you forget everything..

This place is outskirts of Allepey in a beautiful location. It has a swimming pool, basketball court and a Gym as well. I couldn't use the gym as some other carpenter work was going on at this place during my visit. The food was amazing, I really like the food which was served here. Also, the staff was very courteous and helpful. The main Manager or maybe he was the owner, he was very friendly person. I was a solo traveler and I felt really safe being here. I would definitely suggest this place for anyone who is looking for a good resort to relax at. For someone who wants to explore Allepey may not want to opt for it, because it is quite far from the actual town and transport options are limited (unless the resort guys get you a Tuk Tuk or a cab arranged) P.S: There is a lovely church that is nearby, you could take a walk to that place as well. Went from office. Excellent place for groups. Well maintained pool, room and surroundings. Food is worth mentioning. Also provides gym, badminton court. And excellent views.

Been there twice. In both occasions we enjoyed a lot. Well maintained swimming pool and rooms. The food is just awesome.

Great facilities including pool, gym, badminton and basketball courts. Rooms are big and air conditioned. Service is good.

Nice Lake view... Decent staff... Quality of food is also good.. Overall a pleasing experience.
