Shilpgram, nestled in a serene setting, holds a rich history as a haven for handmade crafts. Located in a picturesque locale, it annually hosts a vibrant fair during the last 10 days of the year, attracting visitors seeking a unique cultural experience. Best suited for picnics, Shilpgram offers a peaceful retreat, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. The range of handmade crafts available, with prices accommodating all budgets, adds to the charm. However, some areas for improvement include cleanliness in the huts and maintenance of sculptures and equipment. I understand the concern. Lowering the entry fee to 30 rupees despite of 50 rupees (which we pay)sounds reasonable and could attract more interest. It's worth suggesting this to the relevant authorities for consideration. Looking forward to revisiting and hoping for enhancements in the overall upkeep.
Great place to witness traditional rajasthani art and culture. Beautiful handmade sculptures, paintings, fabrics, like never seen before. But everything is separately paid for, at the stalls and shops, except one museum housing stones structures which are gorgeous. It's like a marketplace. The entry fee isn't actually worth anything. There could have been some activities included in the fee.
Beautiful village Experience with different Folk dances, music. Music instruments made in stones and marbles. Different huts of various tribes of India. Camel ride, Art fashion shopping. Wonderful place to visit with family and friends.
It was a good time pass. If you haven't been in the village much, you should go there. It's kid friendly. Lots of shops there for crafts. Traditional dance and song are free means they are included in the ticket which is only 55 RS. for indian adults.
It's a place to get face to face with real artists, painters, craftsmen, folk singers etc. Must visit place for those who love art and creativity. They have a lot of shopping stalls. Do try Vegetarian thali in its good court for rupees 100 only and you will be amazed. Best part was the folk singers. Mind blowing to hear in person classical music.
Nice place. It introduces you to basic rajasthani culture. They hold various cultural programs like folk dance, puppet show etc. You can shop for rajasthani handicraft items and clothing at best price here. Recommended to all.
You typically get an Indian village feeling while roaming. Rajasthani dance, music, and culture can be seen. It also has stalls where you can buy pottery, clothes, toys.
To know more about Rajasthan and it's art work, visit this place. All sort of hand made art and craft works can be seen here with affordable price. Loved it
