A wonderful place in Shillong...you can see the whole city from this point. The spot is controlled by the Indian Air Force and you need to show your valid aiD to enter this place. Have an amazing view with clear sky. But you need to book their cars to reach the actual point and the cost for the car is 200 along with the ticket price.
The view point is amazing. But security is strict, you need to carry your ID proof to enter the premises. Also you'll have to take their car(rs. 200/ car) to enter the premises as the view point is located inside the military camp. No photos allowed inside only at the view point. Traditional khasi dresses are available to wear and take photos (rs.100). Great experience overall. Entry ticket @50/person No foreign tourist not allowed.
Really I don't feel, what is such a great thing about this place. IT IS THE BEST LOOTING AREA OF SHILLONG ALLOWED BY THE GOVERNMENT. They are not allowing taxis there on this side of the Air Force area. Local people are charging Rs 200 for taxi per person & Rs50 for entrance. They are using very old 40-year vehicles like Maruti-800 cars which don't have any standards as they are very old. It's a total waste of money. No one cares about the safety of tourists who travel in such old vehicles. Who is permitting those drivers? I don't know. Better avoid this place.
Place "Shillong Peak" of attraction for visitor. Shillong view point is located inside India Air Force Station. You have to park your vehicle and collect tickets from local authority. Timing is 8:50am to 3:50pm. There is a telescope for viewing the city.

A nice place to spend some time. A complete view of city Shilong. Clean air which we all love. Small place but a good time pass. Taxi arrangements are good thogh little expensive. Make sure to carry ID proofs while you travel here as the way is through cant. Highest point of Meghalaya as far as I know.
Entry fee is 150 RS per person .You must bring your ID card because this place is inside Air force base so they'll do checking before entry .And also avoid coming on Rainy day .But it's a great experience , whole city is viewable from this peak .
