I love this place when you are going to shillong peak you will fir d different types of people come there to see the view from top there are some small shops on road they are selling fresh vegetables and fruits the climate is also good and i will suggest you when you are going to peak you should carry some winter clothes and rain coat and a umbrellabecause as you are on the top of mountain some times the climate change very fast and high chance of getting rain in that area Thank you I hope you will visit this place in future
The place is under military area and pvt vehicles are not allowed. You need to drop off at a certain point, get a designated cab and the tickets and your ids will be checked and they will let you enter the premises. Years back it was free of cost. I don't see why you would have to pay for tickets least get yourself another designated cab just to get to that place which is naturally available for viewing and not manmade. Also the queue is quiet long. You can buy local veggies on you way with a little bargaining skills.
This place are quite beautiful in its natural beauty
It is a beautiful and quiet place with an open landscape all around. There are no dustbins around so if you bring food and other items do remember to take back all the items and waste with you and dispose them later.
A huge area for picnic, you can get your vehicle inside the picnic ground and there is a nice view from area, the Umiam Lake is also visible during clear weather from this Place. The area is getting dirty and polluted with plastics as there are no dustbins or maintenance of the place (DO NOT THROW RUBBISH in this area). Entry is free but sometimes, you can't take your vehicle inside during rainy days, tires will slip at the entrance.

There were no entry for Nepalese so we had some clicks out in road.
The actual view point is within airforce campus, which is temporarily closed. However nearby landscape is also amazing
