Sherly Cottages - Bed & breakfast in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Reached today only, geyser(given for repair got to know after payment) not working, cottage is inside and no parking facility as the way to cottage is narrow only two wheeler can come. The door latch is not working. And the attitude of the caretaker is not up to the mark (unprofessional). I waited around 15-20 for check-in. There are other good cottages around this property which are on the road please check them as well. Wifi doesn't work as well Rooms are good but mind one thing there is nobody to take your luggage and you have to do it yourself.

During my stay, I encountered several issues that left me quite dissatisfied. Firstly, the check-in process was exceptionally slow, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, I found the manager's behavior to be unprofessional and unwelcoming. Furthermore, I was surprised to find that basic amenities like water bottles were not provided. The air conditioning and water heater were also not functioning properly, making the room uncomfortable to stay in. The absence of parking facilities added to the inconvenience, and the lack of assistance with luggage was disappointing. Moreover, I encountered rude behavior from the staff, which further contributed to my overall discomfort. Lastly, the feeling of unsecured surroundings left me concerned for my safety during the stay. All in all, these issues greatly impacted my experience, and I hope that improvements can be made to ensure a more pleasant stay for future guests.

A reasonably good stay in Varkala for the price range.. beautiful view of the sea right outside the window/balcony.. really close to black sand beach n cliff .. very helpful host and surroundings of the stay is peace too we stayed for almost a week. Loved the comfort offered.

"WORST EXPERIENCE EVER", First of all the property is located far from cliff and there is no see view as he explained and the place is not easily accessible ,especially the owner name Dinesh he is very rude and unprofessional to his customers and collected 1500 as advance and at the time of CHECK-IN he was telling no room available.. Moreover it was like a insult from this guy and he was arguing with unnecessary reasons..And I personally suggest don't ever choose this property and DON'T EVER PAY ANY ADVANCE AMOUNT as per their advice they don't even have any idea about payment and booking dates. I personally suggest Don't choose this property if you have good plan's.And this is Totally RIDICULOUS.

Well kept cottage. Very near to the beach. Infact, you can hear the sounds of the waves. There's a common kitchen where you can cook if you need. They don't make anything there. However, there is a restaurant a few steps away. One negative point is , there is only an inverter, so the AC won't work. Parking is in front of the cottage. The caretaker is very courteous and helpful.

We booked our stay at Sherly Cottage on our trip to Varkala. The property is located nearby Odayam Beach. Mr. Dinesh made sure our stay was comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The property was very clean and well maintained. We were a group of 5 ladies and it was really safe to stay at the property.Thank you for making our stay very memorable.

a very very cute place to stay. the rooms were maintained really well and we were completely happy with our stay here. Mr. Dinesh takes care of the property and he was very kind. He arranged our trip to Monroe island at 4am and ensured we are safe. Overall very satisfied!

Room is neat, clean and spacious. Complimentary breakfast was good in taste. We stayed in ground floor which is not beach view. Good place to visit during season time.
