Sheetalatala Sarbojonin Durgotsav Mitali Sangha, Kankurgachi (in Bengali - shiitlaatlaa srbjniin durgosb mitaalii, kaaNkudd'gaachi) popularly known as Kankurgachi Mitali Sangha (kaaNkudd'gaachi mitaalii sNgh), is one of the most prominent Durga Pujo Committees located at the North East Kolkata. This pujo committee has been offering many surprises since consecutive few years and brought under spotlight the area of Eastern Kolkata or areas beyond Kankurgachi. The Pujo Pandal is being made right on the Maniktala Main Road near Bengal Chemical Factory on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass and the West Bengal Transport Corporation Depot, Maniktala. For the first time, in 2023's Pujo, I got a chance to visit this Pujo Pandal and you know what I felt in love with this year's theme of Kankurgachhi Mitali Sangha. This years theme was Icche icche, The Will. Reaching Kankurgachi Mitali Sangha is much easier than one can imagine. * If you are coming from North 24 Paragana, then you can easily board any bus which goes via Kankurgachhi More then set off from the bus at Kankurgachi More and take left and walk for just 15 mins and you will reach there or you can take any bus from VIP Road which goes via Eastern Metropolitan Bypass then you can easily deboard at the Bengal Chemical Stoppage or Bengal Chemical Metro Station. * If you are coming from Saltlake or New Town then you can easily take the East West Metro and deboard at the Bengal Chemical Metro Station and through the Maniktala Main Road you can straight away reach your destination. Autorickshaws are ample in number, you can use it. * If you are coming from South Kolkata or South 24 Paraganas straightaway board the North South Metro Corridor from any station and deboard at Girish Park Metro and take the autos to Kankurgachi and then you can take another auto to Mitali Sangha or you can walk up to the Pandal. * If anyone is coming from Behala area then the best option to reach here is to take the S3B bus route whose last stoppage is almost close to the Pujo Pandal. * If you are coming from Sealdah either you take the East West Metro to the Bengal Chemical Metro Station. * If you are coming from Esplanade/Babughat are you can easily take 46, 46A, 46B and 79D up to Kankurgachi and you can easily reach your destination. Overall I had a great experience. Will definitely visit here again, next year aasche bchr aabaar hbe!
