It's an one of a kind Pub, that provides the liquors at a very affordable rate and allows to engage people in many pleasant encounters with strangers across the city, that ends up being some beautiful friendship over the years.

Very old bar. Started before independence. The prices are quite low in comparison with other bars. Service is extremely prompt. There are a few snacks items available. Previously it was quite congested with approximately 300+ seats. Due to pandemic nowadays it's almost half that number which makes customers quite comfortable. Very popular with nearby office people. Overall a nice place to down a few pegs without much pressure on the purse.

Will say this is the best bar in Kolkata. Around 100 - 150 people sitting togather and having drinks... Just awesome. Price is very cheap. The atmosphere is pure retro. Absolute value for money.

You can go just for it's nostalgic value. Otherwise service was below average. Available drinks are okay or slightly below average. Keeping a cash for the bill is challenging sometimes. Along with drink I've tried the chicken pakoda and it was not good.

First of all, this place is not for everyone tbh, it is not a place to enjoy ambiance. If you want to feel nostalgic and want to spend quality time with your childhood friends it is the right place. I bet you won't regret it. As for taste of food and service it is decent. Whenever you go there it will be crowded except National holidays it remains open . And they give prepaid service for both food and drinks. What else, go and enjoy with your best buddies. Location: Near Esplanade Metro Gate 1 There is no parking space near this place.

Almost everything is available, whatever you want, at a nominal price. Food quality is good. Decent ambience with ac. Ladies and kids not allowed. First pay then order system and quite fast service. Good for middle class. Almost any 'chakna' is available, which one commonly looks for, to have alongside drinks. Refurbished 150 year old bar atmosphere can be experienced here.
