A perfect tourist lodge with all kind of facilities. Most importantly the services makes the differences. Liked it all. Would like to be the guest of such hospitality again and again. keep it up team.
Overall good, some issues observed but I want to highlight one major issue related to food service. Huge delay in servicing atleast 30mins wait time to get your food so better to go outside for food.
Stayed at Shantobitan tourism property from 17-19 Nov, just checked out. They are renovating the property which is good. We stayed at Deluxe cottage, room was good. I have a couple of observations. I feel they are short staffed. The food takes longer time for delivery when the hotel is running at a capacity! Some of the guests even complained that dinner was not delivered even 40/45 minutes from the agreed time! I appreciate the support of the restaurant members but for sure they need a helping hand. Pl evaluate & take necessary action. Second, no guests were aware of the date/time of Bayul Sangeet, they were't communicated. What is the use of having a cultural program within the restaurant premises when your guests aren't aware of it & is attended by 10 odd people? It was an amazing experience. However the rooms which we booked were a bit small but it was very cozy. Nice location and shonajhuri haat was not that far at all. Overall v good experience.
Nice place to stay in Bolpur Shantiniketan. Suite room was specious. Food was good. The property nice good after renovation. I would like to visit again.
A very good place for staying in Bolpur, situated on the main road. This is the WB tourism department property. We stayed in a cottage with family for 3 days. The rooms are very good with all facilities like geysers, showers, king size beds, tv & ac. Food is also available with complementary breakfast. The only problem is room service is not upto the mark.
Stayed here with friends for few nights. Cottage rooms are smaller than expected according to the price, although clean, but seemed really suffocating at times. Absolutely horrible service from the staff, always asking for tips when no tip policy is mentioned by government. Food quality pretty bad, either too much salt, or too bland. Really bad experience staying in a government property, govt resorts of many other places in WB is much well maintained. No wonder so many people prefer private hotels/resorts/homestays to stay in Shantiniketan!
We have booked an AC standard deluxe room of tariff 2400/-+GST per night. Room size is small, damp in all places & no balcony in room. Price wise not at all justify the room. Now coming to dining room service, that was horrible. Average order taking time was 15mins after reaching to dining room & took another 30mins to serve the food. There was no coordination between service staff. In one line "very bad experience". I would not recommend this Tourist lodge to anyone.
