Was almost burnt alive by the heat. The is no power backup resulting in unbearable conditions during outages. There are shared washrooms which are clean and ok to use. Both Indian and western style toilets available. The location is utterly chaotic 24/7 365 days a year with mostly howrah and saltlake bound buses honking all day and goods vehicles crowding the place during night. Should not be opted during Summer. It's close to sealdah railway station and has Aahar restaurant in the ground floor. The whole monument is very old needing renovation. The rooms are spatious though, with comfortable beds. The TV was not working as expected.
Tho it's an north kolkata old heritage hotel type but they try their best to keep it clean. Staffs are very good and helpful. And accessibility of every kind of transport is easy and nearby.

I had visited the hotel very recently and found that this hotel is not at all worth the money you pay . The room in which I stayed did not even have washbasin and it feels like hell living in that room . The windows can't be opened and the drawer had beer bottles in it ..like GOD !!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS HOTEL. no room service and you have to fill the water bottles yourself .

Dirty rooms. I'll mannered staff. Definitely not a comfortable stay. The property has the audacity to call itself a "Hotel" solely because of its prime location, and nothing else. Would definitely not recommended it to anybody. You'd get far better options for the price you pay over here.
