Shanti Hill - Tourist attraction in Ranchi - Ranchi, India

Wow ! After 30 km of cycling I climb this mountain. I really very much satisfied and mesmerized with the actual sceneries. This Mountain is situated in BARAGAIN BASTI in BARIATU, RANCHI. I went there during rainy season. The day when I visited this place I had experienced a heavy rainfall. Due to this it becomes difficult to climb this huge mountain. There are two ways for hiking: FIRST ROUTE:- This route is normal which is mostly use by people especially during dry season because during rainy season it becomes more slippery and dangerous to climb. You can access this route from the front side of the mountain. Local people use it widely. SECOND ROUTE:- The second one is most dangerous because you have to climb through different challenges. A cave is situated there and you have to go through this cave and it is very dangerous to hike especially during rainy season. My experiences:- I experienced this place on 21st of August 2022. At that we faced two main difficulties. 1st that we don't know the actual path to climb this place and second after getting knowledge of route from local the slippery rocks making our path more dangerous and challenging. Lastly we survived all the difficulties that comes in our path and we had experienced a beautiful collection of many different and adrenaline experiences. ACCESSIBLITY:- This place is accessible through bariatu road Ranchi. All roads are metallic and very well connected. SHOPS:- At that location some shops are situated which offers some food related items. TOILETS:- No toilet room available here. This place is surrounded by Ranchi city. You can go for loo in emergency. NOT TO DO:- At many places the slopes are slippery and dangerous especially during rainy season. Be carefull while climbing on the mountain. RECOMMENDATIONS:- There is a need to develop this place as a tourist place without doing any heavy changes, because it's beauty lies in its natural beauty. It also boost the local economy. BEST:- BEST place for Camping and Bushcraft. Keep this place as it is which means don't litter your waste and stuffs here and there. Kindly throw it only in the dustbin. So First things first Amazing place Full of adventure and amazing views No means of climbing means you gonna have to climb it by yourself which is little bit dangerous if you have not done any steep climbing.

Most probably the highest point in all of Ranchi. Offers a great view of the whole city from the top. The climb is not too difficult especially for three-quarters of the way up. There are also few caves in the top-most portion of the hill which one has to go through in order to reach the top. Going through these caves is quite thrilling in itself. Also, there are a number of decent camping spots on the hill. Overall one of the best things to do when in Ranchi and looking for an adventure.
