The ambience and service was quite up to mark and remarkable but didn't liked the food that much. We ordered chicken nachos, chicken sandwich and virgin mojito. We literally had to dig hard to find chicken in chicken nachos and that chicken sandwich was so bland that the filling of the chicken had no taste. It just tasted like bread and cheese. The virgin mojito was not that great. The mint leaves and lemon was so overpowering it just tasted blahh....but not complaining about the service or ambience....It was good.
This place is a very cozy place and feels like home! The food is good enough and the ambiance is quite cozy and comfortable! The prices are decent! The menu is inspired by Mexican and Asian counterparts! Not a very big menu, you have things to eat! But the range of selection is limited! Talking about the bar section, it has everything you would like to drink on a weekend and get wasted! Overall is a cool hangout place for group of friends and talk for hours!
Shanghai Salsa is a cowboy inspired bar restaurant in Ambikagirinagar, Guwahati. Step right in and you'll be instantly transported to a cowboy bar right in the heart of Texas! Seriously, the vibe of this place is just unique and unlike anything I have experienced in Guwahati. The decor, the rugged furniture, the posters, the neon lights...the ambience is just spot on. As the name suggests, the restaurant serves a fusion of Asian and Mexican cuisines, while also serving other dishes like pastas, burgers, etc. Only I wish the food was better. I mean it's alright. I ordered the pork burger and korean BBQ fried chicken. While the burger was decent, the chicken was pretty disappointing. Not only was it extremely bland and dry, it also didn't taste fresh. I really hope they work on this issue. Service was pretty good. The staff were polite and respectful. They have a bar which serves a variety of drinks such as wine, cocktails, mocktails, etc. There is live music on weekends. Overall, it's a chill place to hangout with a group. I do hope they improve the quality of the food.
Lowkey rustic vibes, amazing playlist, fast service and incredible value for money! They keep coming up with new dishes, and we are never bored! They have a new mixologist now whipping up some amazing cocktails! Must visit!

Food is quite ok , options are quite limited for snacks. But if you want to dine options are good. The drinks menu is quite reasonable but they have set the food menu in such a way that you have to order at least one dish for two drinks and the quantity of the dishes are quite below what other places are offering. Must say that the atmosphere was very good all the time i have been there and the crowd is quite gentle all the time. Service is responsive but needs to be polished a bit.
If you want to have a good time you will regret Once i entered the premesis it just felt hollow. Still moving on we got the menu but even searching for what to order was a task but not for all the fancy cliche words put together for a mere chicken dryfry which was nothing more than a few bits of small fried chicken indulged in some sauce(totally not worth it) but for the fustration of not understanding what to order specially when the waiter won't even put an effort to explain to you what is what given the prices are on the higher side. Still managing to go for "jai mata di" we went ahead and ordered some randomly named pastas which was good enough but did not justify the price in any way. As for the alcoholic beverage i recomend to drink at your own premesis rather than opting for 2 bottle of Budweisers worth rs.800 which costs like rs.360 irl(literally double the actual price just to have it in there) So basically it's kind of a one time visit place because nobody wants to regret twice
