SHANAYA GIRLS HOSTEL - Girl's Hostel in Jabalpur - Jabalpur, India

The best hostel in Jabalpur I have been living in Shanaya Girls Hostel for the past 1.5 years and have always felt at home. The owner treats all the girls like her own family members. She gives special attention to security and tries to cooperate with us by all means. Overall, the staff is cooperative and creates a homely environment. The food offered in the mess is of the best quality and is prepared very hygienically. I don't think that any other hostel offers such high-quality food. The owner, herself eats the same food which is prepared in the mess which is proof that the quality of food must be really good. Just like our homes, functions are organised during festivals which don't make us miss our homes. If you are looking for a hostel then I recommend going for Shanaya Girls Hostel. However, I would like to warn you that this hostel is highly in demand. Pre-booking your room is advisable to avoid inconvenience. Overall a 5 Stars rating from my side! Highly recommended!!!

My overall experience was pretty good here. They charged me 9k for a double seater room for a month. Food( breakfast,lunch and dinner) was tasteful and decent as well. Their tiffin services helped me as well since I had to leave by 10.30 am and they packed me a tiffin for lunch. Clean washroom and clean room with daily cleaning staff coming for both washroom and room. Curfew time was 9-9.30ish. Undoubtedly one can chose this place to reside in for given price range of rent. Only problem that I faced was that during scorching heat days of summers, duct can prove to be insufficient somedays. But by my prior experience of living in hostels I think ducts themselves are generally insufficient during hot summers. I also faced issues with mosquitoes and other insects but the owner took precautions by spraying mosquito repellent and by individual precautions and steps one won't face any problem, so that wasnt a major issue. Other restriction that I found to be arbitrary was that they somewhat restrict girls from wearing shorts while going out. While I was not told such rule while I was checking in but during last few days I was told by the warden not to wear which I for obvious reasons declined to comply with because it's completely baseless and without any authority to dictate as to what can I wear or not especially outside the hostel premises These were the only two problems. But it is the best hostel in the area no doubt, the wardens were also quite sweet. Pleasant experience overall. If looking for a hostel in Wright town go for it at once.

I have stayed in this pg for 9 months and the owner's behaviour is very respectful . Talking about facilities there are all the facilities available. Owner is vey supportive.And talking about pg it's more like a family . The day i landed in Jabalpur I have stayed in same pg now I have to leave as I have moved to different city for my career. But, any girl staying away from home and in Jabalpur you can close your eyes and stay here it's safe with cameras . I miss living there but it is HOME away from HOME .

They have all the facilities but it hardly works. The electricity keeps on going and they don't even have an invertor. In the hot summer of Jabalpur, it was very tough to exist there. The food served was uncooked & very bad. Other than this, the owners are very regressive and misogynists. They should mention in their terms and conditions that they would moral police the girls. They tell us to not "wear shorts" and "not hug our friends." Moreover, the justification they gave was far more disgusting. If one isn't used to such moral policing or is coming here for freedom or independency this is not at all a good place. Edit 1: The passive-aggressive reply to one of the customers proves my point about the service this hostel provides. They could own up to it but they all went to justify, defend and blame me for things? 1. The electricity issue went on for the whole 21 days I was there for. It literally doesn't take so many days to fix it up. Even if that was the case, it was the duty of the owners to provide us with the complete proper services that we PAID for. They could've expanded the invertor to our rooms. We all girls couldn't sit up the whole night in the common area provided where even the chairs weren't sufficient enough at times. 2. I haven't even mentioned that I missed the lunch. I only called them to give back the amount I paid for the service of lunch which I didn't utilize. When did I ever call the authority to provide a late meal??? 3. I assure you there definitely would be people who would agree with "no shorts" and "no hugging mAlE friends" things but this just shows the regressive and orthodox mindset. This is just for people who have a nice brain to beware of and never put a foot at the hostel. It sounds very funny of the owners to bring up disruption to the ambiance and sAfEtY of girls when a person "hugs" a friend. The owners also went ahead and forwarded the CCTV footage to my parents of me hugging my friend. Luckily my parents don't have a trash and stale mindset to care whether my friend identifies themselves as female, male, or nonbinary. Also, I would like to specifically mention the justification that the owner gave for not wearing shorts -"When you come down, men stare if you wear shorts. So then don't come to us complaining if someone gawks at you, the problem is your shorts." Why let even men like that even enter the hostel? Only bad men do that. If there are such kinds of men, they deserve to be imprisoned not women be morally policed for their clothes. Remove them from your family or the hostel!! 4. What odd times visit of men is actually implied by the reply of the owner? The male owners do visit the hostel on a regular basis. There is a male cook who comes everyday. & I personally have no issues with the timings although it is bizzare.

The well designed rooms with delightful aura will never make you miss your home!!... and then the comfort, facilities and living experience will give you the utmost feel of being in your peaceful and safe environment :)

Very nice space to live in. Co operative owners. Yummy food. Cleanliness and hygiene the best. Comfortable rooms and locality. Best in town I would say!

It's really amazing stay for girls in jabalpur mp. The services are awesome includes good food, good locality and rooms. Great choice to stay in for !
