Shalom PG for Men - Hostel in Kollam - Kollam, India

I looked online and paid the advance of the hotel and did not see it directly. When I saw it I was not ready to stay there and I said that I want my money back, the owner did not give me money, so I barely stayed there for a month, it was the worst time of my life. The owner is a dadless person he only needs money and always say bad words and behave badly to everyone. He has many restrictions. Not everyone should sit together, not go out together,you must check in at the hostel by 8:30 and you must not go to someone else's room. The owner sees us as slaves. And about food, for 2 days in a week is not bad and the rest 5 days food is very bad and not worthy. The main food of the hostel is rice, sambhar and pappadam and the sambhar has only water. The rooms are very conjusted, 4 in a single room. The hostel surroundings are very bad not having proper hygiene. The water is in yellow colour, many of the room mates left because of the cleanliness. If you look at that hostel, you have look at everything in a rush, otherwise you will also be in my situation. I am here by uploading some pictures to show the exact situation of the hostel

Owner is psycho.. Worst location. To take tea food need to walk 20min .. This hostel belongs to drainage road. Very dirty smell.. my suggestion is don't go this shallom pg.

I am from north india . It was an awesome experience to stay in shallom PG. Nicely home made food and chechi nature is very Good.

Cons: I visited the hostel. The rooms are congested. One room had three cots for three people. One cot was on top of the other. You will have no private space in the room. Rude behavior by the male member/staff. This itself was a big turn off for me. Total money oriented attitude of the above mentioned person, like they don't even care about the people who stay. 8 minute walking distance from the main road. Conclusion: I didn't take the room. Pros: Food with accommodation at 6000/month. Washing machine. Central hall to study. Good breeze on the top floor. Smoking/drinking not allowed in the compound (I think).

Good hostel and water is bad in yellowish. Hygiene because owner has a sister she is maintaining good and genuine.. Owner is money basic person if u want to choose the hostel select only because of chechi not the owner he need only money won't help anyone's about their needs..

The Best PG available at very much affordable price. I was there for only two weeks and it's felt like an amazing PG life I ever experienced. The Top 5 star things Homely Food Extra ordinary.!!!! TV with full HD channels n High speed Jio Fibre home WI-FI. Washing Machine fully automatic,no tension about Laundry. Very Nice bed rooms n very much clean. Shalom PG for Men is an extraordinary deal Thanks for the stay

It was a greate experience... Am from hyd last 2months i stayed in shalom pg hostal for preparing exams. Homely and quality food and nice environment they are treating me like a guest.. Thanks to all especially chechi.. Affordable price with best facilities....

Very bad experience.. no facilities at all.. very bad service given by the owner and his sister . No proper sanitary facilities. Bad water ,yellowish no hygiene in cooking food .
