I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shalom Hostel in Udaipur, and it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the most hospitable and friendly staff who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I was given room before check in time as we had reached early. They provided valuable local insights, helped with any inquiries, and made me feel at home during my stay. The location of Shalom Hostel is incredibly convenient, with easy access to the beautiful Pichola Lake. The stunning views and serene surroundings added to the charm of my stay. I could easily explore the scenic beauty of Udaipur, thanks to this strategic location. The hostel can work on their cleanliness's and maintenance, along with all the necessary amenities. I highly recommend Shalom Hostel to anyone visiting Udaipur. I look forward to returning on my next visit to this charming city!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at shalom backpackers Udaipur, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me instantly comfortable. The dormitory's location is ideal. One of the highlights of my stay was the friendly and helpful staff. The front desk team was always ready to assist with any questions I had, whether it was about local recommendations, transportation, or any concerns I had during my stay. I'd like to refer this hotel to my friends and family members. One two things I noticed which were not available in the room. Those are intercom facility & bed side table or a lower desk below the wall mirror. Except these two things all services sounds good to me. Food quality is very good. And it's recommended 100% to everyone.
I booked hostel for 2 days but ended up spending 4 days. Great place to stay. Nice and clean rooms and washrooms. Also there is a great view of Lake Pichola from the roof top of the hostel. All the major tourist attractions are nearby. And in the end, a special thanks to Vicky bro for all the help. In all had a great experience.
We spent 2 nights in Shalom and we had a very good experience there. Location perfect ! Room (deluxe with balcony) perfect ! Service amazing, we had an issue with the flush of the washroom, it had been fixed in few hours. And we met great people from all over India ! Obviously I recommend it
We stayed there from the 12th to the 15th of August 2023. 1. Poor staff - The staff was very unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. They simply do not understand how to manage bookings. 2. Poor management - in 3 days we changed our room 5 times. Can you believe it?! The issue was management. First staff got confused because of the similar name in the two different bookings. Later they randomly forced us to check out on the 14th. We refused and assured them that we would take legal steps if you will do so. They did not understand that in this 21st century, we have the necessary proof of online bookings that we do. Later they provided us with an alternative room with some extra charges on top of our booking. Smart! Again room change. 3. Poor cleaning - We were fortunate enough to experience different room categories of respected Shalom Backpackers in a single travel. I must say their hygiene was subpar and basic things were missing. Some rooms even lacked hot water. 4. Value for money? - poor They have the potential to ruin your entire travel experience and give you unforgettable memories that even remind you in the winter morning to put in an effort and write a review after 3 months. Overall worst ever experience. Please avoid.
-Perfect location to see all famous tourist attractions. -Rooms are clean and tidy. - All staff are friendly and helpful in Nature. - Laundry and bike on rent service available near by - cafe and rooftop restaurant is awesome , - best for solo travelers as well as family too. Dorm and family room available at budget price without any compromise in quality in service. Thanks to Vicky Arora for providing early check-in at 3 am in morning without any hassle. Tbh it was worth staying here. The best part about shalom was the food it was delicious. And the prices were decent It was really helpful that we could get a clear view of the lake from there.
