Very good scenic beauty is available in this garden. But lack of maintenance Local authorities are not taken care of repairing broken roads and fountains. You can enjoy some time in this garden.

Under reconstruction and should be fabulous when that work is done. Particularly if they make sure the 410 fountains are working and the pavilions are restored to their original glory. It must have been a spectacular garden at one time, but that glory needs to be recaptured

It's amazing to see Shalimar Bagh, the unique construction of the Mughal dynasty.What I like most is the natural water source and bringing it down stage wise.Though in autumn, the beauty of the garden is somehow less but you can enjoy nature at its best.

We visited the garden during autumn season and the garden was embellished with the golden leaves .. the mighty Himalayas gives its protective shades to the park which adds the serenity and peacefulness. An artificial pond is maintained inside the park though it was not much maintained at that time . Autumn provides an altogether different experience to the visitors although the flora was not much expressive then ... we can have a long peaceful walk through the garden and can capture some of its beauties ..

Its really heaven on earth. Glorious garden. Even it has mughal sarai cafe for quick snacks. Tourists can dress up as traditional kashmiri attire and take photographs. But today we found its under maintenance. So we didnt get opportunity to see fountain and stream water and diwan e aam and diwan e khas.

Worth a visit to see breathtaking snow capped Himalyan ranges in the background and a nice fountain in the middle on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar. There are also several statues and monuments throughout the gardens, making it a great spot for a leisurely stroll or picnic. You can see all types of people from tourists to locals enjoying the gardens. There's a person who's always playing the flute in the garden.

Visited recently, the place was clean and well-maintained, which was a definite plus. However, there was some ongoing construction, and no water fountains were actively working. The flowers were really pretty and blooming. I believe that once the construction is completed, it will be an even better spot to visit. The washroom was pretty clean and the water supply was available as well. The only negative was that land around the washroom was muddy, as there was a leaking motor outside, without a warning.
