Jai Mata di ... It's one of the Shaktipeeth and know in name of Shri Shakumbhari Mata temple. Here, you find crowd during festivals and holidays. It's all day opened. There are a lot of parking space for car and bike (in open). Guest houses and dharmshala available for stay at nominal price. Food stalls are all around here with Satvik food. Don't forget to visit Bhura baba temple before Mata temple, it's customary here (situated 1 km before Mata temple). Jai Mata di
It is a well respected mandir in this area of Mujaffarnagar, Meerut, Saharanpur, ...more like Viashno Devi of North India. Avoid during rush days.
I visited this place on Sunday and also a Chaturdashi. There was too long ques (not a single que) people were packed. It took more than 1 hour for darshan. Long que was due to Chaturdashi and Holiday. The place is good and full of positive vibes. Everyone should go there and seek blessings. maataa sbhii pr kRpaa kreN / jy shaakmbhrii maataa /
This is a famous pilgrimage. Goddess Shakumbhri devi is an incarnation of Maa bhawani. She is our kul devi and adhishthatri. When a baby (He baby or She baby) attains age of 6 months their head is shaved and cut hairs are offered in the feet of kul devi. It is believed that after performing this ritual the child gets long, silky and shiny dense hairs. The child also receives blessings of devi , performing this ritual. Lakhs of devotees pay a visit to this place during Navratri. The temple of goddess Shakumbhari is situated in a village , so there is no place to stay overnight. The nearest comfortable place to stay is Saharanpur city which is just 43 km away. The roads are good. Today Me and my wife came here from Bangalore and offered my granddaughter's hairs in the feet of our kul devi
Such a beautiful place. You will feel totally at home.
Loved the place. The place is surrounded by mountains and forest. Very magical and devotional experience. The air is so fresh and cool. Must visit place for everyone...don't think that if i am hindu so that I can go, but people from any religion must go there and see beautiful nature and feel it by your own.
A major temple for hindu devotees. Few kilometres from Saharanpur. Visited on Sunday. Was not very crowded. It remains crowded during navratri. It remains closed during rainy season due to river in the way.
