Shehzaadi ka Roza - houses an exciting tale of Princess Mehrunissa. One of the beautiful instances of magnificent artistry, Shahzadi Ka Roza is a tomb made for the Chanderi Princess Mehrunissa who fell in love with the Hindu army chief. As it is the case with most love stories, this too was disapproved by the emperor who plotted to have the Army chief killed. Distraught, the princess committed suicide. Traces of colored tiles can be seen on the outer walls of the tomb.
Beautiful monument situated in front of Parmeshwar lake. It was constructed by one of the rulers of Chanderi for his daughter after she died with his lover at the spot. It has beautiful arches and elaborately decorated tombs. The main dome has collapsed. Afghan influence can be clearly seen in its architecture.

One of the beautiful instances of magnificent artistry, Shahzadi Ka Roza is a tomb made for the Chanderi Queen who fell in love with the army chief. As it is the case with most love stories, this too was disapproved by the emperor who plotted to have the Army chief killed. Distraught, the princess committed suicide. Traces of colored tiles can be seen on the outer walls of the tomb. In the same premises, you can also head to see Parameshwar Tal, which is a beautiful & strikingly impressive tank. On the banks of this water body is Laxman Temple, the architecture of which is sure to impress you.
Shehzadi Ka Roza is one of a kind memorial that houses an exciting tale of Princess Mehrunissa. It is believed that she once fell in love with a commoner, which her father did not approve of and sent assassins to kill him. When princess got to know, she rushed to him but by that time he had lost the battle of life. Dishearten to accept this fate, she too ended her life. Steeped in grief, the king then built this monument in Chanderi for her and entombed both of them next to each other!

According to information provided by the Archaeological Survey of India, this monument is the tomb of a princess of a Sultan, whose name is unknown. The dome, covering this building has been destroyed in the present-day. On the exterior walls of the monument, colored tiles have been used upstairs, which is clearly visible somewhere. This monument was constructed from 1420 to 1435.
