Third class experience we have, there is no receptionist, no security, no room services, no intercom, no TV, no tea, water, no towells, no breakfast. We have to go to their another hotel for breakfast. Irresponsible and careless management. Worst experience in my life.

The first notable aspect of our stay was the humble and welcoming staff. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive to our needs and made us feel at home. Their warm hospitality added an extra touch of comfort to our stay, and they were always available to assist with any queries or requests. Our package included breakfast, which was a pleasant addition. The breakfast was served in another building, separate from the Dev Villa, where we also found the swimming pool. Although the swimming pool was not located within the villa itself, it was easily accessible and provided a refreshing way to start our mornings. The rooms at Shahpura Dev Villa were well-appointed and provided a comfortable and relaxing environment. The amenities were in line with the price range, and we found the accommodations to be clean and well-maintained. The hotel's serene atmosphere added to the overall charm, allowing for a peaceful and rejuvenating stay. It is worth mentioning that Shahpura has multiple properties in Udaipur, each with a different name and offering varying amenities based on price range. This provides guests with options to choose accommodations that best suit their preferences and budget. In summary, our experience at Shahpura Dev Villa Hotel was pleasant and satisfying. The staff's hospitality, inclusive breakfast, and access to the swimming pool added value to our stay. While the swimming pool was situated in a different building, it did not significantly affect our overall experience. Rooms were OK. (only good part) No one was there to take care of anything. No security. No service of any kind. Quilt cover was torn, Bath towel had holes. Staff left our room open with our luggage there only. Fortunately no one was there on the floor to pickup anything.

Summary: "Just like your own house: Friendly Staff, Cozy & Peaceful Atmosphere" Good: 1. Dev Villa is a beautiful home. It's well built and decorated by Mr. Laxman and his wife. We felt at home here. 2. Very friendly staff. They were helpful about everything we needed, be it food, water, cabs or anything else. We went back to the hotel in the evening to spend some time before we left to another city. The staff was very helpful even thought we had already checked out in the morning. 3. Good location. It's a peaceful location, away from the crowded palace streets, yet close enough that you can reach there in less than 10 minutes. 4. Healthy and tasty food. The requested food items are cooked when they're ordered (which means you've got to wait for 30 mins for your food). It was a relief after having outside food for many days.

I regret choosing this place for our Udaipur trip. It looks quite good from the outside, but things change the moment you step in. When we arrived at 2 pm, there was no one at the reception. A cleaning staff was sitting, who had no idea of what to do with guests. Toilets were not cleaned properly after last check out. There was no water bottle or glass kept in the room. Cupboards were without any hanger. Tv did not work either. Just one look and you could tell that they were short staffed. On our second night, we heard other guests complaining about no water in bathroom. And since they don't have 24*7 reception desk, you have to walk all the way to the adjacent property to complain about things. Please don't expect any service when you choose this place.

I had a great stay here. I traveled with Intrepid group. The staff was very friendly. The room was big and clean, we were lucky to have a balcony so we could try some clothes there. I wasn't feeling well one night but the hotel made food for me and suggested I sit on the rooftop and point out all the great views they had. The food was great, and enough options for breakfast. We had some laundry done there, they even refunded us for the few times I felt weren't cleaned properly. There was also a pharmacy and small shops for water within walking distance. Great place!
