Shahpeer's tomb coud not be completed and is without roof and other construction was halted when Nur Jahan wife of Jahangir , the royal devotee became disenchaned with Hazrat Shahpeer due to reasons near kown to get. According to legend the queen was very disturbed with the drinking habits of his husband Jahangir and she approached Shahpeer sahib for being relieved of this habit of her husband. Shahpeer sahib prayed to God and within a few days Jahangir quitted drinking. Then Nur Jahan ordered for the construction of the tomb in 1633 AD. The tomb is older than Taj Mahal and rewires proper maintenance and further development of its surroudings.
