"Shahid Smarak" popularly known as "Satmurti" or "Saptmurti" is a Memorial Park where the life size statue of seven very young martyrs of Bihar is designed and placed in a lively manner in their memory. All the seven succumbed to gun shot injuries one by one while trying to unfurl the Indian Tricolour at the Secretariat Building during the Quit India Movement. The details of all these 7 martyrs are embossed there which can be read easily.

Martyr's Memorial is located outside the Secretariat Building in Patna. It is a bronze statue of the seven freedom fighters holding the national flag. This is a memorial to seven brave students who sacrificed their lives in the Quit India Movement of August 1942. They were shot when they had attempted to hoist the national flag on the Secretariat building. All students were aged 1bout 15-16, studying in classes IX and X. It was inaugurated by the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad in 1956. Later an adjacent park (near the Eastern gate of Secretariat), came up in 1997 .

Shaheed Smarak or Martyr's Memorial in Patna is a bronze statue commemorating seven brave young men, who sacrificed their lives in a protest, trying to unfurl the Indian national flag during the Quit India Movement of 1942 outside a British administrative building which is now the Secretariat of Patna. The monument is a remarkable reminder of the cost of feedom, even if their names are not widely known. The foundation stone of Martyr's Memorial was laid on 15 August 1947, by the governor of Bihar, Mr. Jairam Das Daulatram. The sculptor Deviprasad Roychoudhury built the bronze statue of the seven students with the national flag. These statues were cast in Italy and later placed here
