Shaheedi park - Memorial park in New Delhi, Delhi - Central, India

Feel goosebumps when entering this amazing park which is dedicated to historical kings who fought for independence right from Chandragupta till 1947 independent India. A special section is dedicated to param vir chakra award war heroes. Very good initiative by the Govt to let kids know our glorious past. The adult ticket cost is 50 but kids under 12 are free to go inside. Separate washrooms for men and women are available which are neat and clean. Paid MCD car parking is also available. The nearest metro station is ITO which is about 300 mt away.

Newly Developed Shaheedi Park is less on facilities and attractions as compared to other two Waste to Wonder themed park in Delhi i.e Seven Wonders of The World Park in Sarai Kale Khan and Bharat Darshan Park in Punjabi Bagh. I felt it bit incomplete without any portrays on Muslim Rulers, including first female ruler Razia Sultan and Shah Jahan, who made so many monuments of world interest, including Taj Mahal. Akbar is also missing. Other personalities like Ahilya Bai Holkar, Tipu Sultan, Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, JP Narayan, etc. also didn't find space there. The water facility is also unavailable. Rs 100 feels too high for this mediocre park.
