A study on Rajawadi Garden PUBLIC PARK: RAJAWADI GARDEN (Ghatkopar East, Mumbai) 1. ACCESSIBILITY * Park is surrounded by local road (6 m wide) on all 4 sides . * The park is on the same level as the road so no steps/ ramp is required * There are 2 entry gates on 2 opposite sides, each 4 m wide. * No area is specifically designated for parking. 2. ACTIVITIES IN THE PARK * Jogging track, children's play area, gravel walking track for accupressure, seating arrangement. * Other facilities: Drinking water, public toilet. * Activities Outside the Park: Pani Puri vendor, small Ferris wheel, merry-go-round , horse carriage. 3. AGE OF PEOPLE VISITING DURING DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY Since the park is in a residential area, it is mostly visited by senior citizens, children, families etc ( the people living nearby). 4. SAFETY *Visibility: the park is surrounded by local road on all 4 sides. The park is bounded by cast iron railing hence the activities going on in the park are visible from outside. It ensures informal surveillance preventing crime. * Lighting: there is poor lighting in the park. Street lamps have been provided in the open spaces and lawns but no lighting is provided along the pathway. The visibility after sunset is clear enough to make out the pathways but the nooks and corners of the park remain dark. * Presence of undesirables: the current society finds couples showing affection to each other in public spaces as undesirable. This is often seen in public parks and in this park too.

Good garden with ample things for kids,but the crowd is really bad,no control of watch man ,big kids playing in kids zone and no age restriction board anywhere,rest all good, cleanliness superb,outside garden one person selling chaat,Pani Puri Sev Puri is amazing,,note him in photos,Horse cart Rs20 per kid and big round was really cool,,,rest all awesome except crowd which was little cheap,,good walking zone, senior citizens zone,,overall superb ground

Better then sk Somaiya, atleast have some resting place

This is a one of the most popular and oldest park in ghatkopar. It's a great place to hang out with friends and family members.

This has been one of my playgrounds since childhood. I absolutely love this place. But unfortunately a few couples hurt the integrity and purity of a garden by finding dark spots to sit and engage in PDA. I know a few people might think that I'm being a bit conservative but that's just my opinion on this. I'm not gonna cut down my rating for this since i absolutely adore this place because it is absolutely perfect for people who want to just walk or jog or just do some basic exercises. Mornings are heavenly here and it gets pretty dark in the evening.

Place is good, located at a good quiet place. Easy to find as it it located opposite to the rajawadi hospital. Parents can bring their children for evening games and also normal walk/jog. The one thing which I don't like, is the crowd that sits outside the park, making it uncomfortable for the locals to visit.

It is a decent Garden in the Ghatkopar East area. Many senior citizens use the garden. There is a good seating arrangement and small gravel walking track for feet acupressure. Decent play area for kids with rubber flooring in one half of kids area. Several lawns and couple of covered areas (one meant for yoga). A track around the garden is used for walks and slow paced jogging. Also has some open air gym equipment. There is a mixed crowd.

Situated in ghatkopar east. Its an ideal place for morning walk, evening walk as well as night walk. Lots of greenery is there. Vast seating area with sheds are also there. Children play area is also there which includes swings, sea-saw, slides and many more. Children and elder both will enjoy there.
