Sethi Dhaba - Punjabi restaurant in Zirakpur - S.a.s Nagar, India

When I first entered the dhaba it looked like a movie set. The whole set up and ambiance was pretty eye catching but the food and service was a big disappointment. Reached at around 11ish in the morning n the place was just opening up I guess. We were in a hurry so ordered parathas as we were told it would be served the quickest. Didn't really like the taste of the paratha and a special mention of their makkhan which looked and tasted so synthetic, wouldn't melt even when applied on hot parathas. Tasted very weird and I didn't want to risk food poisoning so didn't have it but my friends were brave enough to put a chunk of it on their parathas which didn't even melt lol Service wasn't great either, they seemed uninterested and made faces when called lol But would also like to mention that my friend forgot his cap and glasses there and I called them up n they were kind enough to keep it safe till we could get back to collect it. 1 extra star for this else I wouldn't visit or suggest family to visit bcz of the quality of their food.

I visited all the branches of Sethi dhaba, but at Zirakpur branch, my experience was just OK. While the dhaba managed to create a pleasant ambiance with its traditional interior design, the overall experience was marred by the lack of cleanliness, average food quality, and disappointing hospitality. The interior of the place is designed in a way that successfully captures the typical dhaba feel, which was a nice touch. The food quality was decent, nothing exceptional. I would rate it around 3.5 out of 5 in terms of taste. The dishes I ordered were average, and while they satisfied my hunger, they didn't leave a lasting impression. So, if you're looking for an extraordinary culinary experience, this may not be the ideal place. One significant downside was the cleanliness. were not well-maintained, and this lack of cleanliness affected the overall hygiene of the establishment. It's essential for any dining establishment to prioritize cleanliness, and in this regard, the dhaba fell short. Another aspect that disappointed me was the hospitality of the waiters. They seemed indifferent and inattentive, showing a lack of enthusiasm and warmth towards the customers. Additionally, I was surprised when they refused to serve drinking water and instead insisted that we purchase it. This kind of approach felt unwelcoming and left a negative impression.

Dinner night. Had jeera rice and dal tadka . So many veg and non veg option. We met Ritesh Deshmukh here , so that the service was quite late . But the atmosphere was good. Kids are enjoying dance and dj. That night Ritesh Deshmukh was the highlight of the dhaba .

Good clean n hygienic place to dine in on ambala Chandigarh highway Menu listing is good but when asked for kadhahi chicken they refused to place the order. Last njoyed the butter chicken. Food is averagly good but quantity is little less. Price is neither much nor less too. Owner has had a good attempt to create ambiance with live show facilities, match telecasting and pickle and jam shop. One time visit is good as you are very confused with so many banners of sethi dhaba on the same road and almost same location. Due to flyover its presence is little less from outside. U can enjoy the food as i did with live telecast of india pakistan world cup match.

Food serving quantity is quite less. Dal is served in famous 1 service spoon dal bucket. Not even appropriate for 1 person who likes to eat sabzi/dal properly with chapati. Will surely avoid such a dhaba to eat Punjabi dal roti.

I liked their vibrant ambience. The interiors are not lit by modern choices, but by the natural exuberance of Punjab. The wall paintings are sometimes representative, sometimes humorous. They served this thick lassi, and in food there was roti, papad, dal makhani, paneer, mixed vegetables. We had asked for less spices, so they made it a bit bland maybe, but the food was savoury. One of the performers also put up a dance performance for us which was too kind.

Sethi Dhaba is an excellent place for veg and non veg Indian cuisine. Though they have Chinese food n all in the menu but I haven't tried it.All I have always tried are the Indian dishes and they never fail to impress. The food is not very oily or spicy. It is not very heavy either. The place might seem a little loud with the decor but that's the signature of this place. Food is good service is excellent.

All well here.. Love the setup.. With family must go there.. Best part of this dhaba is shyari..
