Sekhmet Club - Bar in Chennai - Chennai, India

Looking for a relaxing dinner with your family, a dance floor where you can let loose with friends, or some exquisite cocktails? This is the location. One of the extremely excellent features that drew my attention was the menu design. The food is incredibly delicious, reasonably priced, and far less expensive than bars and clubs in the same price range and vicinity throughout Chennai. The dance floor downstairs hosts Bollywood evenings on Thursdays, and the room gets extremely lively after 10/11. The atmosphere is unrivalled, and the bar setting on the ground floor has to be my favourite in all of Chennai. Make sure to pay them a visit and begin your night with rainbow shots.

Very good ambience. Good food and a nice place. Music is too loud and hence you may need to account for that. It is not a dancing place but still the music is extremely loud. We did request to reduce atleast the speakers right above our head but no heed. The menu card is too small. It's nice but it's difficult to read without a reading glass. There is also this unknown or unconscious rush from the staffs where it almost feels like when are you leaving the bar. Didn't see any dress code but just to be safe wear your full trousers and a shoe . Good crowd and definitely one of the good places in chennai to hang out. They have valet. But this place in the middle of a spot where parking is not possible. So prepare for valet.

Came here for the 2nd time. Love the music, beautiful ambience, art on the war, bar design, must try the pomegranate sangria! However I believe there are a lot that could be improve on service through better training. Food is slow, ordered 5 dishes, each dish are served 1 by 1 @ 15mins apart! You could imagine how hungry we were. Group of people in coat assigned to take orders are all often avoiding responsibilities like waiting for each other to do their jobs. Held my hand up for over 10mins before someone delegated to another person to delegate to another person and felt like we have interrupted their busy work to eventually take our order. They are not that busy, only lacking problem solving skills and clarity on who covers what area and solving overbooking, lack of space etc. Waiters can't take orders. When we finished our dinenrs, we tried to call someone to take order again, after another 10mins of no one serving us, I decided to walk around to look for someone in a coat to help take out orders, ordered 8 shots. Waited for 30mins, so we left early, else would have stayed the night for few more dozens of shots. Had to walk to the bar itself to get the payment as we wouldn't want to wait another 30mins for the bill. Didn't had a nice experience on the 1st time we came in Dec too: 1. We have a friend who drank too much, we needed help to lift her to the car, asked all the muscular bouncers, none of them wants to help. Just realised the muscles are "for display only" or only for the negative things that might go down. Not helpful in situations like these. 2. When we left, manager hold us back saying we haven't paid, dragged us for 20mins before eventually confirming with their bartender that we have paid because they didn't gave us a receipt when we paid. Wasted a lot of time. However, despite the bad service, we still had a good time and think the place has a lot of potential because of the ambience, music and you'll probably be treated better if you're a VIP. With an improvement in management towards more service oriented, all the investment and initial SOP setup would have yield much better returns and continue to be a legendary club for decades to come. Else would prefer to pre-drink, pre-eat before coming just for the music until things improved. The cocktails are the mail thing that's good. The layout of the club is good too. Birthdays are made pretty special with the fireworks They have a large screen playing music videos. Good vibe for a group

Good music especially on Wednesdays. Friendly and accommodating staff. Can have more food options in non veg apart from chicken and prawn. On the pricier side

We had our friends birthday party here The vibes are high and the staff's are responsive. Food is ok but, we are here not for food. Good place for fun for a get together and high entertainment music bass was amazing

Definitely a nice place to eat and drink at a reasonable price compared to most other places in Chennai. Menu is super confusing and all over the place. Kebab and Wings were great. Portion size was quite good too. Service was prompt and helpful. We had celebrated a party with 22 people and all of us enjoyed the place.

Great food, one of the best tres leches in town! The vegetarian options were really good.
