Seemapuram Dam one of the best no cost place in Chennai to enjoy your week end. No crowd during weekdays. We can even take bike in the water fall you can check my photos. Pure water no pollution. You can take bath at the water flow side. Good swimmer can swim but not advisable.
One of the hidden gem places in chennai. Best time to go on post rainy days(December). After three days of poondi dam opened, this place was filled with water. You can enjoy half a day here, you can bath, swim, dive and chill out with you friends and family
The water comes only when the Poondi reservoir is opened. You cant see water always. Please check once before planning
The water was stagnant & stinky, and was not flowing. We can only enjoy it when water gets released from Poondi Dam, and flows through Semappuram lake.
Nice water place to play around.. place is not tidy.. very narrow roads.. hard to find parking space.. unfortunately with all effort the water is very less and there is no overflow over the dam as shown in previous photos.. slightly disappointed.. better luck next mansoon..
AFTER SAW SOME AMAZING VIDEOS AND PHOTOS FROM YOU TUBE WE VISITED WITH FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS, BUT AS IN NOVEMBER MONTH 27TH THERE IS NO WATER , ITS VERY DRY . REALLY DISAPPOINTED VERY MUCH, KIDS FELT VERY BORING AS THERE IS NO WATER AND NOTHING CAN BE ENJOYED THERE.
Less water today compared to last week the locals said, still it is inexpensive place to spend an hour or so
