PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD. This person is decepitve. He made pyyambalam beach as his private property and took reviews people made for the beach as his own. This person is a sly cunning scammer who misuses public forum like Google maps for his private benefit. His Homestay one of the worst places to stay in the world. Dirty, moth eaten, moist, unhygienic. My guests from Thiruvananthapuram had been duped by him. Thinking he is beach facing home stay. It was located in far inside a dirty narrow lane near a GRAVEYARD,. its spooky and very unnerving to stay there. He also makes fool of people by pretending to be a astrologer, a subject he knows nothing about. Please read reviews you will see almost 8000 reviews, a place which not even 5 star hotels don't have. You will notice most reviews are for pyyambalam beach, which he claimed as his business and took over the old reviews. REQUEST GOOGLE TO REMOVE REVIEWS WHICH THIS PERSON TOOK FRAUDULENTLY WHICH BELONGS TO PYYAMBALAM BEACH AND NOT HIS HOME STAY. The beach is nice for spending an evening. A few people could be seen flying kites. There's a camel ride near the beach. A few tea/soft drink/fruit stall outlets are there. There''s also one small tea shop/ice-cream stall. Edit: When I wrote this review, it was listed as a beach and my review is solely about the beach. I didn't stay at the home stay and so am unable to comment on it.

This review was for payyambalam beach. This hotel has by deception stolen the review. Please do not give business to this resort. All reviews are for payyambalam beach as you can see from the wordings One of the cleanest and pristine beaches in India. It's the best place to catch a sunset in summer and even winter as the skies are often clear, giving you a great view. The beach is long, sandy and white and the grains are quite delicate and not too rough. It gets better in the night especially moonless ones when you get to see the night sky in all her glory. Payyambalam beach is where you create memories. Don't put it on your bucket list...just come down. Kannur has its own airport now as well.

One of the best beaches to visit. The most important thing is that not many people know about this beach. And due to that the crowd is very less. The beach stretches to kilometers and kilometers. The beaches are categorized as good or bad on the basis that how far is the sand surface in the water. And the best thing about this beach is that the sand surface is very far. You can easily go ahead till the water is at your neck height and the sand is still there. BUT PLEASE BE CAREFUL IF IT'S YOUR FIRST TIME. You will definitely enjoy this. Go into the water sit down facing the beach and wait for the wave, as it is just above you jump ahead. Playing on this beach is so much fun. Sometimes you will also find fishermen using unique ways to catch fish in the sea. There are resorts and hotels lined up on the sea road. Plenty of hotels to stay. Visit this beach, will definitely be a great experience.

It is a little pricey considering no amenities apart from the stay. We booked 3 rooms and hence they gave a apartment type within the villa. The hall was too small to accommodate 3 families, not even 2 families can sit together. If you are staying with strangers in other rooms, it becomes really inconvenient. There are no shops nearby, the hotel that has a tie up with the homestay does not deliver food until 10 AM, that too only if the delivery boy is available, else they ask you to come and collect. They don't provide even a water bottle as complimentary, you need to pay for it. The only good part is it is close to the beach, a mere walkable 300 meters and the owners are very cordial.

Well, it's a quiet and calm place, of course it is a beach. I had happened to reach there at an evening and I was very lucky to watch the sunset there. Maybe, the tourists could plan there for a nice panic as it is a nice beach-side. Although, there are so many pay-houses and restaurants, which is so helpful for other foreign tourists to stay and snap a day there. The green palms and the sandy textures add up the charm, making it more peaceful environment. Sundays are the busiest days there. You may not get enough space to park your vehicle as it's a bit congested and as well as a bit extracavalier.

This is my best beach ever. It will be for those who are afraid of big waves and getting deep into water. Coz this is a shallow beach. Even if you get upto 300metres into the sea, the sea level is still below knee and the waves are not gonna drown you. Sand is black and forms a beautiful wavy patterned floor. Water is as clear as glass. It is really Beautiful . U can enter into the beach through a beach park where there are many sculptures, seats, play area for kids and eatables(the usual beach snacks). Many Sculptures are made by Kanayi Kunjiraman. I Then there are the tombs of many revollutionary legends of Kerala which give it a historical relevance too . Some are AKG, Nayanar, Sukumar Azhikkode, M V Raghavan, Swadeshabhimani Ramakrishnapilla, K.Kelappan, Gopalan and many others . Then we enter the real beach. There is a photo frame titling Payyambalam beach . One end of the beach is formed of rocks. Adventurers can climb those rocks. It was the best place to visit in Kannur for me.

Good clean and a peaceful shore with active noice of waves. It was sunny there during our visit, due to the high temp climate around. There was newly built rest points even though they were less in number (must be below 10 numbers). Have soccer grounds (turf grass), some new food joints and good parking spaces near by. The beach is clean and safe for kids. Have cops patrolling for better safety.
