Sea La Vie Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Kovalam - Chengalpattu, India

Pros: Good things first, service is excellent, staff are courteous, beach view is very good. Food is not as tasty as expected. Cons: Rooms are not neat and clean, it is very old property. Bed spread and towels and beds are not clean as expected. For the premium price we paid rooms are not as expected. All fittings are rusted, bathroom mirrors are very bad, common play area infrastructure not good, swimming pool is not clean. Verdict: Needs complete renovation. Until it is not recommended for families

It was a wonderful stay for us last week in this resort. We went as a family of 6 stayed in Villa. The room services were excellent and the food was very nice. Very close to beach and we enjoyed our time in swimming pool as well. Manager Prasanna was really helpful throughout our stay, highly recommended for family.

Location and the service was too good but the rooms has to be maintained clean. The resort definitely need a renovation. While the food served was good,the dining area was bad. Swimming pool was too dirty. The receptionist was very kind. She did her best to ensure that we were comfortable. Thanks Sabya.

Very bad service. While check-in they informed final food order is around 10.30pm. we ordered food in restaurant by 10.03 but restaurant people said final.order is 10pm. I am happy to hear the Japanese like timing followup. But where we check in ac not working. People's are very casual and not interested to satisfy the customer demand even a single percent. Don't waste your money here. We lost a lot and got more pressure instead of enjoying the weekend.

The ambience and the scenic view was great as it was near the beach. Rooms were clean and completely worth the price. Customer service could be improved though and if Pool is in your checklist, the resort can cause you slight disappointment as it is small and too much chlorine added into it.

The location is great - next to the surf beach. The rooms as they are shown on the pictures, comfortable. The manager - Prasana - was incredibly thoughtful and kind. He organized a bus trip for me AND took me to the bus station. I felt that I truly experienced South Indian warmth and hospitality. Highly recommend this place!

Terrible experience in a terrible resort. I saw Google rating and booked resort and whatever shown in website is totally a scam.. Not a proper swimming pool ( Uncleaned and bad odour on the water filled) Second they mentioned there is club house with snooker and play room.. but everything was old photos nothing is there in good condition it's only for name sake.. When we entered room the bed spreads and pillows were smelling bad and then after following up they changed the matress and pillow cover.. these are some basic amenities in a resort. We ordered food for lunch that's also terrible with rice being half cooked and taste below average. Balcony door is open and unable to close and no one even bothered to repair it.. Only average experience is having beach nearby.. Ignore this resort if you want to save your money and be safe with your family. Management please look into the feedback if you want the customers to feel good on the property. From my end I felt very terrible for choosing this resort and paying this price. I will not recommend to anyone or visit again.

Room service and foods are quite impressive. They have a really nice chef. I had 2*year old kids and they prepared really nice rice and plain daal and we were able to feed them. But this resort is not really like resort. Very old and messy buildings. Else rest all is good
