Sea Dream Lodge - Lodge in Puri - Puri, India

This should be the worst hotel in Puri. Right in front of the burning ghat. Smell of dead bodies burning throughout the day and night. Ashes flying from the burning dead bodies if windows are opened. Suffocating inside the rooms also even though aircon is used. Also, loud cries from the relatives of the dead persons brought in for cremation are loud enough to give sleepless nights.Even though u manage to sleep somehow, loud announcements in speakers throughout the night from the burning ghat will make you wake up again in the middle of the night. Looking at the precarious environment, tried to curtail the booking but was not allowed by the hotel. Overall worst experience ever. The location given as address is mis leading. This should be right opposite to the burning ghat. Shabby rooms with stained walls in Room number 9. Room number 10 doesn't have any curtain, so the flames from burning dead bodies are visible throughout the night from the closed glass window. The stay was a nightmare in this hotel. Online booking from any booking platform must be avoided at all cost. Otherwise you will be deceived like me even after paying a hefty room rent. Recommended to visit the hotel first physically and then only proceed with the booking as the location and the environment outside of the hotel is the worst.

This is a very basic palce to stay, rooms are normal, no proper service is available. It is located near sea beach, also it is opposite of burning ghat, so you will get smells of burning dead bodies.

Worst Hotel ever seen. I had already booked and room was confirmed but when I had gone for check in the hotel manager denied that rooms not available and charged me extra for providing rooms. Not recommended

Very Bad experience. staff behaviour is really very bad. AC not working properly. 3-4 times current has gone in a day for 1-2hr so almost 3-4hr no current. zero priority for cleaning.. staff demands for extra money..no lift system..rooms are always bad smelling of swargadwar gas .. there is no room freshener.. water problem is always .. bathroom not cleaned..other bathroom water comes in my bathroom that really very disgusting.. bedsheet not washed. Blanket & Towel also not provided.so its very very very bad experience for me.

Stayed in the hotel from 14th to 16th April, 2023. The location is excellent. Located just beside the burning ghat, it is in vicinity to the Swargdwar market & the sea both of which are at walking distance of 3 minutes maximum. Also the Mandir is close. The services though, may be better. The behavior of the staffs was very good & the reception guy was very polite. The rent was very reasonable. Overall an excellent stay there

Worst lodge in puri. Burning ghat is just 5 mitre away. Behavior of the management is very bad.bad smell continuously come from the Burning ghat.

hotel location was superb. very near to beach, only 1 km from jagannath hotel.hotel staff behavior was very polite. my room ac was not working suddenly arranged another room. it's situated in front of swargadwar. very good stay hotel.
