My experience of this college and hospital was simply amazing. As a student of Ayurveda from north India, I went there for a short term course, to explore how ayurveda is practiced there. And I was overwhelmed to see the way they treat their patients only with ayurvedic principles and procedures. I would like to wholeheartedly thank respected Dr. P.N. Rao sir for being so polite to us and treating us like his own children, Dr. Asha mam for making a perfect schedule for us and managing everything so well, every professor and PG scholars for teaching us in the best way they could! Everyone there was so motivated and energetic.. From preparing for panchkarma procedures to clinical case studies, creative ras shala, anatomage.. everything was enough to create spark inside us to know more and more about everything... I would definitely recommend this college to anyone who wants not only to get the good theoretical knowledge but also the best clinical and research exposure, or just simply who want to visit a proper pure ayurvedic functioning hospital!

One of the best ayurvedic College and hospitals in Karnataka. It is situated in the west entrance of the city. I stayed there for treatment and the staffs are cooperative and responsive but they the service are very slow and seems like need more number of working and helping people. Cleanliness is well maintained. The canteen food was good and had good menu.

As a certificate course student I am overwhelmed to be part of this Institute , ambience , teaching , weather , stay ,food was good .I would like to thank the Teaching Staff ,PG Scholars ,Internees ,non-teaching Staff and special thanks to Dr. PN Rao sir and Asha ma'am for their support . Our stay is Luxurious. The temple inside the campus with pond was also stress reliever

Good environment, friendly staff, good treatment.

A hospital where doctors care about money until discharge and they neatly mention about post followups in discharge summary (which they clearly don't do) and the consultaant doctor aka the principal does not pickup your call even after discharge and also the resident doctors have too much attitude to help you after discharge. If you want to claim your insurance consider yourself lucky If you have collected all the reports before discharge otherwise just forget it because even if you are in a foreign country they will want you to come and collect it in their hospital itself since they are so busy in making money

Well maintained hospital !! Doctors and Nurses are very polite and guide well, really good treatment is given at very nominal charges. Pregnancy and post delivery care is really good, one of the best service in Hassan. Usually people think that Ayurveda is for only orthopedics but they have really good healthcare facilities and staffs to address different type of patients. People should leave that myth and trust SDM without any fear. Few negative points: 1. Ultra sound scanning service is pathetic here , radiologist comes at his own timing (1:00 PM or 2:00 PM or sometime you get noticed at 12:00 PM that he is not coming) 2. There are few employees mostly non healthcare are so adament in responding to people with positive intent which feels very annoying especially when you need essential services. (Dispensary and Housekeeping - Especially the housekeeping supervisor Puttaraju, he never reacts to any room facilities or house keeping complaints and management really don't care about these allegations and they always support their 'Kaam chor' staffs) That's why I'm reducing my earlier 5 star rating to 4 Note: SDM doesn't only use ayurveda medicine, surgeries are all carried out using English medicines and post surgeries treatment is done with English medicines.

The SDM Hospital is situated in Thannerhalla, Hassan( Bangalore Mangalore highway) which is having nice ambience and good treatment. The Doctors and the administrative system is very good. Neat and clean. It's not a hospital, we feel like a temple. You will get treatment for your health problems in one stop which is not given by Allopathic treatment. My consultant doctor is Dr. Seetharam sir and he is not only a doctor, he is a nice gentle man and value given to the patient problem and the way of council before treatment is owsome. If am correct 50% of the problem of the patient was solved by their impressive motivational words. He is very patient friendly we feel very happy and we will start thinking ourself after listening to his words whether we are in a right way not. I don't want to explain too much... I got good results for my Sciatica pain... Low back pain. Allopathic Doctors advised for surgery but Ayurveda suggested PANCHAKARMA which worked for me and I have partially recovered. If you have faith in Ayurvedic medicine please visit and experience yourself.

I happen to go through remarks made by Shri. Sunil Kumar & was really surprised to note the contains. I would like to share my experience with regard to SDM college/hospital & Dr. Ashwini. I have been visiting hospital & Dr. Ashwini quite frequently & am treated by Dr. Ashwini for the last 8 to 9 years & am extremely happy with the experience I have. Not only I am relieved of my retina problems by use of Ayuvedic medicine but also the expert care Dr. Ashwini has shown in treating me, I have never came across a si gle incident where I can feel anything against Dr. Ashwini. She is really a honest Doctor taking care of all her patients without looking into her problems whatever she has. I sincerely appreciate her devotion towards her profession & caring her patients
