One of the beautiful Shiva temple in Tamilnadu. The lord Nataraj in caste pancha loha metal casts a spell on you. It is told that if you are fortunate enough and done good things in your earlier birth, then only you will get a chance to visit the temple. Despite low turnout of tourists, the temple is maintained well and people are very friendly.

Stunning and amazing. It is said that lord Shiva and Parvati visited the temple when the sculptor was unable to meet the kings expectation. When asked for food. The sculptor in a fit of anger said I have only this molten metal. They drank the metal and transformed into the idol. The detaling of the lord and mother sivakami so intricate that a scar on his foot, mole and even veins are seen. A 7 foot Marvel to see. The temple also is a place for people who want to have successful land dealings.

The temple place is called as Thirunallam and the Village is called as Konerirajapuram Temple inscriptions record that the temple was built from an endowment provided by the Chola queen Sembiyan Mahadevi [also spelt Chembiyan Maa Devi] in the reign of Uttama Chola The inscriptions recorded from this temple belongs to Rajarajan-I, Rajendran-I, Rajathirajan-I, Rajendran-II and Kulothunga-Chozha-I. As per the inscriptions Lord Shiva was called Thirunallam Udayar and Thirunallamaudaya Mahadevar. Most of the inscriptions records the endowment of burning perpetual lamp, sandhi lamps, naivedyam, Thirumanjanam, Garlanding, Nandhavanam, feeding food to Sivayogis, devotees, apurvis, celebration of festivals, etc for which donations were made in terms of land, Gold and money.

Serene and divine temple. Must visit. I am blessed to visit this temple and spend time. The temple has a great history worth knowing. No commercial activity in and around the temple as of now. Buy Pooja items before hand before going to this temple. Please Donate Generously for the temple, Goshala upkeep and also for the Gurukul in the village.

Wonderful temple. Badly maintained. The roads connecting the temple are bad. But it's worth to watch the majestic deity of Lord Natarajar. The paintings in the ceiling were lively, vibrant colours.
