Science Centre - Science museum in Imphal - Imphal West, India

Science centre is kinda like an educational park as well as an amusement park. Basically it's meant for children. Within the centre, there's a playground , science museum, magic mirror gallery and planetarium. The planetarium is very educational for both young and old. In case you wanna check out the planetarium, you'll have to pay for it at the counter. The entry ticket doesn't cover the planetarium fee.

I wish the government cared about their science center. That's where kids will learn about science and having fun but most of the mechanisms were broken or not working. On top of that, the shows don't take place anymore. If you want kids to pursue science, you need to make them excited about it and science centers are a way of doing it. I'm very disheartened by how the place has been kept - no maintenance, cobwebs everywhere, broken displays and mechanisms.

Best place of science learning for children in the town

The place is undergoing renovation dated 06/05/22. But the park is still open for public. My son loves exploring new places so, he finds it adventurous.

Good open space/park for kids, but lots of missing parts of the items which is in the park for the kids to learn or play with and lots of machine which is not working anymore. Charge entry fee 100 for a car, and for wathing planetarium they charge 20/head.

Pros. 1.opens even on Sundays,except Monday. 2. Huge parking area. 3. Reasonable entry fees@10/- per person. 4. huge open spaces. 5. 3D theatre functions. Cons. 1. Some of the scientific equipments or machines are dysfunctional viz. Needs repair replacements. 2. Guides or instructors not available. 3. Refreshment point not available. 4. Planetorium is not functioning.
