It was built in the year 1913, one of the oldest clock tower in India. Over crowded place...surrounded by shops. You can get anything here from shoes to clothes, cosmetics items, crackers, building materials... anything in a wholesale price. The only problem is parking here, you need to park your vehicle on the middle of the road (which is not allowed but everyone do).
The Clock Tower is not really that Prominent or well preserved. It is amidst the local market and in a very crowded area. Nothing that great.
I've been there but only for night so I can't say I like it or not but if you like crowded place you should go there

Situated in the centre of the oldest market of the city this clock tower has been an important Landmark in the city. Built by the British Govt in around 1912 - 13 and still standing tall.Around this clock tower, So many shops are situated. It is one of the best market for shopping in Prayagraj. Almost all the things are available here in almost 0.5km circle.
It's the biggest market place of Allahabad. Everything is available here at reasonable prices
As a place it's crowded and only auto or two wheeler is recommended. But utility is 5 star.you name a thing from cloth, electronic market, hardware, cricket,plastic, decorative,mirror works...what not / It's one stop location for all your day to day needs. Budget place. Haggle for best bargains. Best one stop place for ladies....do try
