Set amongst dense forests of oak and pine trees, Sattal waterfall is one of the few unspoiled places to visit in Uttarakhand. The place is a paradise for bird watching.
A hike of around 1.5km will take you to the fall. Carry something for munching as you would not find any shop once you start the hike.
The best time to go is early morning or before the sunset.
Nice place to visit around Nainital, those who couldn't visit Nainital due to overcrowding, can easily visit here to explore this beautiful place/lake/activities.

A perfect escape in nature with your family and friends.
A lovely hike of 1-2 kilometres to this waterfall from sattal lake.
Entry fees to this reserve is 10rs per person.
On long weekends it gets densely crowded, however if you want this fall just for yourself visit on weekdays.
Beautiful place it is ...peaceful, full trekking area loved it
It was beautiful trek in between of jungle. Full of natural beauty, birds. In the last 500 mtr path is very narrow and bit difficult.
Beautiful and peaceful place . Morning time is best time to visit . You can see different types of birds species near waterfall . It is home to a few camps being operated mostly by local people catering to tourists looking for outdoor vacations.
The most amazing and wonderful cinematic scenery is present at sattal waterfall with freezing cold water. Seriously It is is a Paisa vasool trip if you go no go to the waterfall.
however this waterfall is located in reserve Bird sanctuary therefore it is not a government approved picnic place but there is a staircase (beside a dabba) directly leading to waterfall with a a human made pathway across the forest (2.3 km approx from main road u can park u r vehicle on road).
I have uploaded photos show the path to be taken from the road reading the waterfall we were 4 members family able to reach waterfall with 20 min (middle aged female need assistance and can easily reach the spot)
I recently visited this wonderful cafe within a charming tea garden. The food quality was superb, the presentation impeccable, and the service timely. The experience is made even better by the fact that a tea garden ticket grants you entry. The seati
A little expensive compared to Delhi but overall good experience. (As food served was quite less in quantity in almost every dish.)
They should increase the quantity of the serving. So, it can be worth the price.
