If u r a malayalee and want to see uthrattathi vallam kali at Aaranmula then satra kadav is the place u should be visiting....easily available on Google maps... try to reach one HR ahead of schedule. The race boat procession starts from here. You can buy tickets from devasom office in adavance incase u want to sit and enjoy. Vendors will be selling water and peanuts during the event. Just at walkable distance you can find a good restaurant as well in case u r hungry. And they do serve non-veg as well. But remember the waiting time will be around 20 mins b' cos of rush.
It's a great place for relaxing in the sunset and near the place there is the temple and during onam you can witness boat race and many snake boats
