Satpura Jungle Retreat - Hotel in Madai, Sarangpur - Hoshangabad, India

Situated on the banks of Denwa river this is a perfect retreat if you are looking for a peaceful time to spend with family and friends. The place is managed & maintained well by a wonderful group of locals & manager.The rooms are more than meets the eyes and more than what you see in the pictures. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds and with almost all the amenities you can ask for. The washrooms are maintained well with 24hour supply of hot water. The rooms have a garden lawn outside on which you can enjoy the sun especially during winters.The food quality is amazing as well. The hotel serves veg food but if you want to eat non veg, the hotel can arrange it for you on your demand and as per your requirement.The taste of the food is delicious as well both the veg and non veg food.The hotel staff can arrange bonfire for you as well if you want to spend wintery nights outside your room and enjoy the starry nights.The place is very nearby to Madhai entry gate of safari and also near to the Bison resort through which the safari starts.The road to reach the hotel is also good and maintained well.Another important aspect is this place in terms of tariffs is very nominal as affordable compared to other resorts in same area and you get all the necessary amenities at an affordable price. A wonderful option for all the travellers to stay if you are planning your trip to madhai.Overall everyone enjoyed the stay at the hotel and it was wonderful being here.

The worst resort ever seen in my life. The resort needs soo much renovation, staff was soo much slow, the manager of the hotel had not great skills like manager. The AC in our room always dropped water droplets on our bed making the bed soo much wet. Bcoz of the wetness of the room we asked the manager to change our room but it was of no worth. The location is ok type not very great. I would suggest to book and stay in MP TOURISM RESORT rather than this useless resort. Our MP's trip was the worst trip in my life.

Nice ambience and beautiful view from Rooms......Foods were good but little expensive.....Having great facilities of Swimming Pool and Children Park etc.........Overall great place to stay....

Actually it is a lodge kind of setting. You get basic food rich in oil and spices. By evening of our first day our stomach was in doldrums. There is no TV in rooms. There are no means of entertainment once you are out of national park. Despite having paid one and a half times the cost of stay which was inclusive of three meals a day, we were charged for glass of milk for my younger son , also were charged for mineral water despite having paid for three meals per day. Staff was very cordial and nice. One Tip- when in madai stay only in M.P.Tourism hotel. Also book safari online only.

Our group, which consisted of 9 Adult and 2 kids, had an exceptional experience at Satpura Jungle Retreat, Madai from 13thSep - 21st Sep, 2020. The staff and owner (Mr.Anand Dhoot) really put their soul into our welcome. Since we were traveling in the Covid era with Senior citizens as well, we had intimated about our plan to Anandji a week back and he made sure that everything related to Covid precautions were in place. There was no letup in the precautions, which made us feel assured on our arrival. All the staff had masks ON and the best part was that there was no outside interference. So, from the 1st day itself, we were feeling at home. A special mention has to be made of the food, which they served. All 3 meals, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner were exceptionally tasty and hygienic. Moreover, they were always happy to prepare dishes according to our wishes. The food quantity and spread were close to what you pay in a 3-star hotel buffet breakfast. There was not a single day when we did not overeat. But, thankfully our stomachs never complained :) . A special thanks to Anandji, his staff Ballu, Rajesh, Sandeep for arranging Barbeque fire for 2 days consecutively. We still remember the smoky Roasted Chicken. Regarding the Jungle - Anandji made sure that we were always accompanied by one of his guys to the jungle and that too without any additional charge. We spotted a deer, a group of chinkara, and wild boars. There was news of a Leopard Kill in the nearby village that excited us and we did go for an evening stroll on our Cars to catch a glimpse. However, we were not lucky enough to find the beast however; the night Jungle ride itself was thrilling and exciting. Apart from the wildlife, we were taken to several other viewpoints near the dam and Jungle which were really worth visiting once. Finally, our 8-day stay ended with all of us promising ourselves to return in 6 months' time. Thanks to Anandji and his staff for ensuring that, we return with a great experience.

Property poorly managed. We had to change 3rooms as AC's were not working. We cut our stay short as it was very disappointing The staff maybe tried but it was just not enough....wish we had not gone there not working

Its very cool place, close to nature, piece full, very excellent service.. Must visit.

Good accommodation, food taste is phenomenal,staff behaviour is good and management especially mr.anand ji is very humble overall nice experience.. Thanks team satpura tiger retreat for a wonderful hospitality.
