Sasumaa Gujarati Thali - Gujarati restaurant in Surat - Surat, India

I recently tried the Gujarati Thai parcel from Sasumaa and I was not thoroughly elated with the overall experience. While the Daal was impressive, the overall variety left me wanting more. The confusion with the Gujarati Thai dish made the experience less enjoyable. The taste of the sabji was average, and the Farsaan, which is usually a taste lifter, fell short of expectations. The choice of a small choora laddoo as the sweet was underwhelming. On a positive note, the Daal stood out as a highlight. I believe there's room for improvement in offering a more diverse and satisfying menu. It would be great if the restaurant could enhance the flavors and variety to cater to the diverse tastes of Surat's food lovers. Signing Off Hiral Amodia (Insta : amodiahs)

The atmosphere is amazing and appealing. Food quality is excellent, and the taste is fantastic( Feel like home made taste and food). The service is excellent, and the staff is courteous and cooperative, They serve food with much love. The price is affordable(~150-200 per person). The cleanliness and hygiene are excellent. There is plenty of parking and a sitting area. UPI and card payments are also accepted. A great place for unlimited thali. If you're looking for gujrati thali, I highly recommend this restaurant. After a long time i was eating something good in a reputed place. So i had eaten so much(but within limites), i had food food poisoning. Good place to go with friends and family or alone. Ya but don't eat too much. It was really nice restaurant. Really authentic food, pure Kathiyawadi. Too many items in Gujarati dish. Service was really good. Good restaurants for friends and family. Seating arrangements is also nice. Price also medium

Gujarati thali is no more gujarati thali. I visited after 18 years wishing to enjoy gujarati thali. Taste was good but they served chole,Paneer,Punjabi daal in gujarati thali. If you are someone who has very low appetite pls don't go. The thali is very expensive for the number of items they served. If you are non gujarati and wants to try gujarati food do visit Jalaram Khichadi. That place serves limited thali but you won't regret paying 130rs. And if you wish to go for more items go fo Kansar. Taste : 7/10 Quantity: 10/10 (if you can eat in good quantity) Value for money: 5/10 Price of Gujarati thali : Rs.350 Per head

I am eating gujarati thali since 2009 in this area. I used to go in sasuma back in years. I really disappointed with taste and appearance of thali. I paid and step out from restaurant after just 3 bites. I recommend go for kansar with better taste quality and appearance. I attached both restaurants pics .. now decide yourself

We have had Gujarati Thali from Sasumaa 5/6 years back and was wonderful then. But the quality was found unsatisfactory and disappointed in the last visit

This has been one of my favourite place in Surat for full meal. The unlimited thali is not just about unlimited food but the variety, taste, service and the atmosphere around. The staff are very polite and helpful. They take care that you eat till your belly is full and keep on checking with you if you need anything. They have a very unique sign language method to call for any food item you request on table.

Taste is good. Ambience is good. Service is excellent. But that added punch of something different or extraordinary was missing. It's more like routine stuff now. Scope for improvement. It is very good for outsiders who come to surat and visit. But if you are local and want tp again and again..you need a welcome change also. Ashish bhai was very good in guiding and service.
