Beautiful Place, boating in this lake is an awesome experience. Very calm surrounding. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, looks very great. There is a Temple on the Banks.
Sasthamkotta Lake is the largest fresh water lake located in Kollam District, Kerala is fighting for its survival due to excessive water exploitation for catering water need of Kollam district with out doing anything for the preservation of the lake, daytime is the best time to visit, spending time at night is usually not recommended here, Thank you!
Really good place.... but people only need an eye catchy sight...They won't care about the future of the lake...And old people are reluctant to accept the lake is slowly dying....New gen doesn't care about anything .......Before 10 years vallakkadavu was 20 meter behind to the current position....Nobody caring...

Parking is the biggest problem here, when marriage or big functions happens here. Can't say it is expensive too much.
