Boats are there but rowers or operators are not there and at last we found a guy who told he will take us on his canoe boat. He even taught me how to row a boat and he was friendly . The lake view was mesmerising. Adding videos below..

Such a beautiful and calming experience. We had no option but to take the boat ride at 1230Pm, still the climate was perfect. Must do!
Average experience.. This place is not that much scenic. But quite reasonable for a 200Rs boating. A place to spend 1 hour. Only demerit is, no other attractions nearby.

Sasthamkotta lake is the only clean water Lake in Kerala. Best place to spend time with family and children. Calm and quiet place. Evening time is the best to visit. There is government water transport service is available to cross the lake. Good place for photo shoot of pre and post wedding, birthday etc. Public transport is available to sasthamkotta Bus stand which is about 1 to 1.5 km from the shore of the lake. You can feed fish & fish. Paid boating is also available. Now the water level is down due to global warming. Now a days some agencies are taking part of improvement and development of the lake. People near the lake are very helpful to guide.

Parking is the biggest problem here, when marriage or big functions happens here. Can't say it is expensive too much.
