1) It's OK to visit this place. 2)This place is especially for watching Asiatic lion. 3)Asiatic lion means , forest has lots of saag tree when their leaves getting dry, that colour of leaves is getting match with fur of lion that's why is called Asiatic lion. Chances of seeing lions are depend upon luck. 4)To see leopard is very rare, as per tourist gide as living deep in the forest 5) Specially for indian origin foreign citizens, should provide Indian identity if they have while booking,to get charged low fees otherwise while giving foreign identity charges wiil be high, same thing happen with us.

Gir Forest National Park is a wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, western India. It was established to protect Asiatic lions, who frequent the fenced-off Devalia Safari Park, along with leopards and antelopes.

One can book for Gir Safari from the reception here. It has some shops which sells the jungle costumes. Toilet facility is there. It also has a clean and maintained garden.

A must visit place if you are in Somnath or Rajkot. Black bucks are a beauty.

A nice place to witness the king in his own habitat . Wardens and Drivers are very well informed . Visitors do get pesky and loud sometimes.
