Saroornagar Lake Saroornagar Lake is a lake in Hyderabad, India. From the year of its creation in 1626, the lake remained largely clean until 1956 when Hyderabad expanded. The Lake has a nice garden on one side of it, where one can walk, but that's about all once can do here. The lake itself is not well-maintained. Cleanliness is an issue and one cannot miss the stink if one is near it. This aspect alone affects the lake's attractiveness as a tourist destination greatly. The setting of this very big lake makes it good for walking around it. There is a park next to this. Apart from this, there is nothing to do in this lake. You cannot do water sports here. Be aware of mosquitoes, especially during evenings. Surely it needs proper maintenance. You'll find lot of walkers spending time here.
Nice lake, well atmosphere in normal days. Now arrangements done for Ganesh nimarjan. Good police security levels. Traffic levels and crowd can not managed by any one. But emergency fecilities are provided by TS govt.
Batukanna immersion Need to improve a lot in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. Walk path has broken tiles. Kids can't walk or run smoothly. No restriction to dump household waste. Katta Maisamma temple, Peddamma temple and Shiva Temple are the best one's to see when you visit the lake. Use to be one of our hangout place
Earlier, it was smelly and dirty, but now, it's not much! It's a small lake, yet attracts a lot of locals for walking jn the mornings and evenings. It's quite scenic and pleasant between 5:30 to 7:30 AM and in the evenings around sunset. There's also a park nearby always bustling with kids on the swings and the elderly chit-chatting and walking about. It's a great place to spend the evening! If more initiatives would be taken for cleanliness, then the lake can surely be a venue to more activities...
The shore is grimy and smelly. The pink bloom is the only thing that makes it worth visiting. Lots of Street food stalls around.
Pleasant atmosphere, Good location in the city, Easy to locate as it is located near the highway, Anyone can enjoy the driving as the roads are nice and wide, People enjoy sitting on the bund and enjoy the sunset view, Kids will enjoy the environment. One negative point is washrooms not available as required.

Saroornagar lake aka Saroornagar cheruvu aka mini tank bund is a water body in Saroornagar East. This lake was created in 1626 for irrigating agricultural land and drinking purpose. The initial purpose is lost in the current scenario. All agricultural land has become concrete jungles. And the inhabitants there dump their waste into this water body. There is a terrible stench when we pass by the lake. Still many people are seen spending their time in the vicinity. The Priyadarshini Park is adjacent to this lake.
It has become one of the iconic places of Hyderabad. You can have different types of boat rides, spead boat is available before 5pm. Kids have slides and other playing activities.
Nice footpath developed with the new ESCI road. We can see lot of birds early mornings. There are ample benches placed every where. The road starts just before the CARE hospital.
A beautiful evening hotspot for some various delicacy I always love having Momos at King Momos and then pav bhaji and cheese grilled sandwich, sometimes butter plain dosa and lastly with a touch of Khulhad chai or Tandoori chai
That place is very good for photoshoot and if you want to go to photoshoot for that place in summer you better go at 5:00 pm and the pics will be awesome and the water will be very near when you go to that place in winter and you will choose this pla
Another lake getting ready for real estate vultures. It's raining heavily now a days, but water is released and not stored. Atleast this should be made into a park.
